what I think:

Half-Life Episode 3 will be tied in with Counter-Strike 2.

It will also come with 6000 grams of gold, Beyond Good and Evil 2, and Shenmu 3. In all seriousness though, I've come to accept that the Half Life series has probably been ended.

I'm wondering what will be his plan after Portal 2 and DOTA 2.

I personally think they are secretly developing EP3 somewhere in a dungeon deep in VaLve HQ

I don't know about you guys/gals, but i'm getting tired of so many sequels, why don't they try their originality once in a while ??!!

Like L4D or Portal? I'm all for new IPs but they've already got Half Life, Team Fortress, Portal, Counterstrike, Dota, Left for Dead and two of those were invented really recently. It's just one studio I think you're asking for too much

primarily because people ***** about it all the time and unjustly so, considering the high quality other IP's their choosing to spend their time on i applaud their efforts.

Impatience is not a good quality to have in an individual and people vocalise said impatience compounds the situation, not wanting to wait for something is fine, but bitching about something all the time that can easily be put on the back burner is both immature and irritating.

As Cobb said in Incept " see i believe positive emotion trump negative emotions every time" (or words to that effect), and that can be applied to any aspect of life, Instead of anger, why not hope for something else you know is coming out, or get excited for that.

This may surprise you but I agree with you bahumat on this point - I personally have no interest in being impatient for any entertainment production really and hype is something I did as a teenager for the most part when my hormones were soaring so that part of my life is behind me. Hopefully you will review your post and realize where it contradicts with this point and how your own stance against Episode 3 "bitching" as you put it stands in further contradiction with positive emotions.

"How about that Episode 3?" is hardly bitching or even 'not wanting to wait for something' as you put it (see: impatient), you have pre-determined that such inquiries are negative and are seeking to confirm your bias. So please do heed the character Cobb's words in Inception.
