I just want some sort of source engine that would support Unreal textures.

(e.g. Unreal Engine)

Sacrificing yet another goat in hope of some Episode 3 news!
I wish people would stop holding their breath for Episode 3, it just means a lot of CPR needs doing. Valve will release information on it when they are ready, if you forget about it for a while then it will come as a welcome surprise rather that an "oh finally".

Dota Project, Portal 2, and I hope episode 3.

If not Episode 3 which seems likely, than I'm guessing L4D3.

If Team Fortress 3? Mind Is Blown

Edit: Would Portal 2 not be one of them? Maybe since they already announced it.

tbh i would be happy with valve is they were announcing new IP's instead of episode 3 rather than squeals to other games they have i mean if they were constantly touting the we want to be innovative arguments at least i could respect that but i don't know why gabe keeps doing this he hints at something coming out everyone guesses episode 3 its not episode 3 everyone is disappointed thus devaluing the announcement cant he just straight out say its not Episode 3 but its is a surprise cmon gabe :(

My sentiments exactly and regarding Left 4 Dead I know it's an ancient topic but I feel this needs to be said: you can complain about how the game had insufficient content and how the sequel should have been DLC all you like but if a game cannot stand up without DLC then DLC will not do enough to repair the damage. For me, even the weekly modes in L4D2 weren't enough to keep me interested. If ValVe makes L4D3 then it needs to add MUCH more content and make considerable innovations to succeed. Of course they could take the easy way out and copy what Halo did (though I don't know how they'd go about that) but if this is the ValVe I know and love then they would rather shoot themselves.

Whatever you people do, do NOT make any more "Gabe Newell is fat" jokes. Seriously. That's how Valve time works. Every time anyone makes one of those jokes, he adds another month to the release date.

TF3 would be teh sex.

Another Orange box would be cool, L4D3, Portal 2, Half-life episode 3 and Team Fortress 3.

I would literally shit myself with joy.

well I doubt its Team Fortress 3 (seeing as they're still making sh*t for TF2). And i don't think they would Drop Episode 3. Valve isn't THAT evil

Since I've played DoTA, LoL and HoN I really would love to see a Valve version of DoTA, playing new types of heroes always keeps each one different and interesting.

Not really going to speculate on the other two, but anything Left 4 Dead related wouldn't make me a sad panda... Even a Left 4 Dead 3.

I think it would be awesome of out of no where they just put Episode 3 on Steam, no warnings or advertisement, and see how fast people would find out.

"That isn't going to stop any time soon. I'm just laughing because ... people will be shocked again." kind of implies they aren't going to make the sequel to the game that everyone frequently expects them to, doesn't it? I'm guessing that hl2e3 isn't going to be one of those surprises.

One surprise will be that episode 3 has been available for purchase over the past 2 years, but people could only get it if they asked nicely.

I like how on the first 2 pages (at least, didn't read the other 5), not a single person has suggested that Valve might be releasing a non-sequel game.

If we consider this we could go totally nuts with suggestions...

Prepare yourself for a hot dollop of SalamanderJoe theory!!

1: A new Counter-Strike for all platforms, including a deep single player campaign
2: A major expansion or sequel to Team Fortress 2, for all platforms
3: And Obviously, Half-Life 3, including Half-Life 2 Episode 3 on a 2nd disc as a prologue chapter
Bonus: No Left 4 Dead 3 until 2012 though, but expansions for the other two will still come

Of course this is all theory mixed in with a nice slab of personal desire, but seeing Valve listen to their fans, any new entry in the Valve catalogue of awesome games is a possibility.
And then we all become astronauts and get dog shooting guns.
