On the subject on a lot of AAA games on the 7th generation, I am glad BB and his buddy point out that the generation had its own problems with the gritty shooters, but a majority of those have even less replay value than
Norse GoW or
Horizon. I don't like most open world games and only play them the one time or two at most.
Shadow of the Damned's original release you can only really play twice, because there is no NG+. It wasn't until the recent Remaster that NG+ became viable. The sandbox games have even less replay value, because I don't want to go through all of that shit again.
Greek GoW I never bother replaying much, because they have pacing issues in the middle late half of their games. Especially in
GoW III. The only reason so many, but not all, AAA games have bad replay value is because there is either much gameplay, or too many
cinematic. At least you can skip most of the walking sections and cut-scenes in both
Norse GoW games, even that one section with Angrabroda needed to be axed, but didn't. I'll finish up the video later, but I thought would put in my input for that section.
Also, the 7th generation has plenty unskippable forced walking segments that got more annoying as time went on, and those have aged worse or just as much as the modern games that do them.
Uncharted 3 was the worse with this before
4.
