Game looks boring as fuck, and awkwardly switching between third and first person reveals how rigid the third person animations are and that they went with first person because they're too incompetent to do third person, which would suit the melee combat and platforming (which is automated, lol) much more.
"One of the cool things about Uncharted 1 is, we had no f***ing idea what we were doing," former Naugty Dog developer Lucas Pope said in a new interview with Ars Technica. "Uncharted 1 was announced, and then Gears came out. And Gears invented the modern third-person shooter. Suddenly, Gears came out and showed them how to do it. So we changed everything, six months before release."
Following the release of Gears of War, Uncharted was on the receiving end of a huge overhaul: the camera perspective, the gun-based controls, and the general movement mechanics were all rejigged to give the game a third-person feel akin to Gears of War. Before Gears inspired this revamp, it seems, you would've seen Uncharted adopting a framed-from-behind sort of style more like the classic Lara Croft titles.
Didn't stop people from making the comparisons nor connections regardless if it made sense or not. You're not the first to make this complaint nor point out how they're different or opposites from each other. A few angry viewers were doing that back into youtube days. Especially Darknessthecurse. I can see where either your points coming from, but it comes down to semantics and minute differences at this point. Of course, the old Tomb Raiders didn't play like the newer uncharted games at the time, but many people felt UC Picked up where TB dropped off. I was never that big of a tomb raider fan nor an I a hardcore Unchartered fan. Indiana Jones I did see as a kid but I don't have hardcore nostalgia for it. I still love Harrison Ford but I really don't need another movie. I always referred the Brendan Frazier Mummy movies.Responding to the title, Uncharted isn't Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones anyway. Sony wanted a cinematic Gears of War. Cover shooting. Spectacle. Naughty Dog used to make platformers (I didn't play Crash and Jak & Daxter.), so of course that carried over, only more automated, with climbing linear and those objects coded yellow so that the action wouldn't stop for too long and you wouldn't remember that it's a video game. Complete opposite of what the Tomb Raider (and Indiana Jones) games used to be.
Lilith is a succubus in Darkstalkers. Not an angel.
I don't think Dizzy is technically an angel either. I'm fairly certain she's a half-Gear with a wing that happens to resemble an angel's wing (and an angel itself) and one that looks like a devil. I admit I don't know enough about Street Fighter 3 to say whether Gill is genuinely an angel or not, but the thumbnail's already off to a bad start.Lilith is a succubus in Darkstalkers. Not an angel.
Gill is 100% human, but likes to see himself as an angel messiah figure.Gill is genuinely an angel or not, but the thumbnail's already off to a bad start.
Probably won't end up watching the video to see where it goes from that first impression.
Yeah, he admittedly cheated with that one. Lillith was originally going to be a half-angel, half-demon but that idea got scrapped.Lilith is a succubus in Darkstalkers. Not an angel.
Shaving head in reveal reminds me of the first Last of Us II trailer just being two dancing girls staring into each other's eyes before kissing. All these people wanna do is trigger. It's embarrassing. Their stories don't feel honest and their gameplay is only mediocre.
I'm here for the retro future look and feel
I'm just here for the pivot alone - it's been 13 years of contemporary settings from Naughty Dog.

Fyi, if you have an account at GreenManGaming, you can pre-order it there for a little over 40Do the right thing Sony, and don't allow the game to be PSN only:
This is what Naughty Dog wanted. Could have revealed Last of Us II with anything, but chose the lesbian scene; could have revealed Intergalactic with anything, but chose the protagonist shaving her head.I'm just here for the pivot alone - it's been 13 years of contemporary settings from Naughty Dog.
Looks like the dumbfucks over here are already getting heated over a shaved head as well. TLoU2 REALLY broke people's brains. If this character had hair, the trigger would've been her not being white. If she was white, the trigger would've been that she's a woman. Then the trigger would've been her jaw or something. Whatever the case, Naughty Dog did it to be controversial and trigger people... with a shaved head. A shaved head is already enough now. Nothing gay, nothing muscled, just a shaved head. Fuck, some people are losers!
