Duke Nukem, He teaches us that once u run out of bubble gum it's time too kick some ass
I thought Rowdy Roddy Piper taught us that.
yeah well Duke Nukem is more well known then a crappy movie so I stick with Duke Nukem...
A Crappy Movie? Where the hell did that come from?
By that I mean it got Bad reviews so not many people watched it besides this is a gaming website so more poeple would know Duke Nukem even If the phrase is from another movie. and If ur asking why I said movie it's because the phrase came from an older movie where the main character walks into a bank says his line(not as well as Mr.Nukem) and shoots people.
And the man is Roddy Piper? I dont care how well Nukem says it, If Piper said it, it's better.
Whatever I'm Just gonna stick with Duke Nukem...
Hey, Roddy Piper was rowdy before rowdy was cool...blargh
Did Roddy Piper have a theme song by Megadeth, I think not...

Hmm, video game characters should not be role models.
Damn ninja'ed.

I would go so far as to say any fictional character shouldn't be considered a role model.
Why not to the both of you? These characters exemplify what it is to be heroic (or not). Some fall into situations we find ourselves in albeit in a far more epic form. They can be the highest representative of morality and heroism.
Lets see because for one they could be a bad influence in the same sense. Oh Master Chief can respawn after getting shot in the face so I guess I can too. No matter what situation these characters find themselves in there is a big disconnect between the consequences of thier actions and real life consequences.
Many great characters can do things that we can't physically do. I can't walk on water, but does that make Jesus less of a role model? Of course not! And not all characters are the best role models, anyway. I don't want my future child taking personal lesson from Jack Cayman, for example. There are other characters who do have admirable qualities which are good to follow.

The tank (or whatever it is) from Space Invaders.

Moral of the game: If aliens are invading, shoot them.

Gordon Freeman. Just don't say anything.
Agreed

I like the Gordon Freeman "Say nothing" idea. Sounds about right.
