Hey guy dont get mad but your mums a total MILF.

As long as they stop going on about BELIEVING!!! I mean if they worked it in as what it is, a competitive sport and talk about hard work and stragegy as well, Id be all for it but I swear about 6 times throughout the series they say "hard work, skill and stratedgy can only take you so far, without belief you cannot hope to win"...

Belief is the fuel you use not the tool itself.
to be honest...

in order to get mad, I think I have to first understand what you're saying XD

I really enjoy the concept of Pokemon (catch creatures, make 'em fight), but, honestly, Pokemon is way too simplistic and just feels like continual level-grinding to me. Maybe the new ones offer more, but I no longer buy portable gaming systems so I won't find out.

My main problem with Pokemon is that its popularity has ruined the concept (catch creatures, make 'em fight) for everyone else. Seriously, can you imagine a game on par (story- and graphics-wise) with, say, Dragon Age or Elder Scrolls where you go around capturing, training, and fighting monsters. That would be an epic game.

I want a dirty, hairy chest
And beard around my jaws
To catch disease is my real test
To spread it is my cause

I will travel across the land
Sneezing far and wide
Each Pathogen to understand
Each germ that lives inside

PATHOGEN
Gotta catch 'em all

It's them or me
A fight for immunity
Oh, they'll be my end
In a world we must offend

PATHOGEN
Gotta catch 'em all

Your face so blue
The doctors will pull you through
Cough on me, I'll sneeze on you

PATHOGEN!
Gotta catch 'em all, gotta catch 'em all
PATHOGEN!

in the next game they should make missingno a secret legendary to completely freak out older players like me.

but yeah, me and my adult cousin were discussing firered and black/white the other day; my dad kept making fun of us, but screw him, we had a fun little conversation :p

I agree with the competitive battles. I avoid those battles since I lack intelligent when to play the game with tactics (all of my teams use raw powers moves not those status effect moves).
Than make a team of what are known as "sweepers", and take it online. You can win with that on occasion, as long as your stats are right.

Pokemon is eternal. Everyone enjoys it and people who say they dont enjoy it either haven't actually played it before (apparently these people aren't fictional) or people that are closet Pokemon fans :p

Now when can we expect Pokemon Snap 2....
Never. I know you want it, but this is a bad season to ask for sequels. I'm not saying Snap was a bad game, Dead Rising, Snap, and Beyond Good and Evil actually showed how much fun cameras can be in game, but like i said...
BAD SEASON. BioShock 2? Kane and Lynch 2? Golden Sun 3? Crackdown 2? I'm not sure of the stagnant sequel curse of 2010 is still in effect. Hold off on your begging.

...that being said, i remember enjoying the Pokemon games. Maybe reducing the juvenile nature of the game will allow nostalgia to run it's course.

This article states the obvious.

I still love Pokemon in (most) of it's forms, and I am over the age of 18. Pokemon White specifically (screw the albino dragon, Pokemon Black!) looks fucking awesome, from previews and reviews so far.

I consider Pokemon just to be like any of Nintendo's other franchises. They may seem aimed at children but they can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone just like Mario, Zelda, and Kirby.

Can't wait for Pokemon Black, will be picking it up this Friday.

We knew that already:

Man, I can't wait to go back to college. That is, if the course I end up in has enough nerds.

Anyway, I pretty much always knew this. There really are a bucket ton of stats and variables in the game. You can indeed play it very very hardcore. But heej, kids can just as easily faceroll their way through the game. As I did. And still do. Except when I'm doing a Nuzlocke run. That shit is hard...
sad thing about this comic... its true

My girlfriend and I are in our mid 20s and we love pokemon games. I never got into it until I bought Heart Gold so that we'd have a game we could get into together. Pokemon is very 2 sided. There's the cute creatures for the kids. For the adults there's the in depth battle system with oodles of abilities and numerous battle factors to take into account that keeps it interesting for even the jaded gamer like myself.

Interesting side note. Since I make a living making geeky clothing, I've decided to make pokemon hats for the premier. I'll be sporting a Haunter hat and my girlfriend wants a Shinx.

When me and a friend discovered smogon.com it completely changed the way we played Pokemon. A couple months later you find yourself with a almost perfectly IV Breed, Move Breed and EV trained Team with a proper balance of Wall, Spinner, Sweeper and stealth rocks ect.

I personally find it incredibly fun, and when you start churning out your own builds things get really interesting.

Anyways I can't wait for Black & White ^_^
Smogon... /shudder

I'll stick with battling and winning with the Pokémon that I like, rather than the ones people say are "top percentage".

Karenfag, reporting for duty!
