I miss the Thief games. They were a blast. Lots of sneaking... sneaking and more, uh, sneaking.
I second this. I miss Thief so much.

The Jak and Daxter series they left the story open and unfinished.
Legacy of Kain, those whove played defiance dont need an explination.

I feel its a damn shame for them because they were so good.
Yeah, but you kinda know what happens in the end anyway. It's history!

My contribution to the thread is No One Lives Forever. I finished the second one last year really depressed. Knowing that there wasn't going to be any more ruined what was a good ending to the game. It was too fun to be shoved down a dark hole like it was.

Sands of Time series.

Then they added insult to injury by replacing it with Disney's Aladdin.

Oh lets see...

X-wing/Tie Fighter series... spaceflight combat hasn't been the same since.
Duke Nukem, because he's still trying to crawl out of the grave unsuccessfully
Sonic the Hedgehog, because all that's left is a zombie that won't stay down
Tex Murphy series, since M$ bought, then sold like a slave to Take-Two, who killed it after it left a cliffhanger
Golden Sun games were just too well done, that it was sad.
Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series, because with euphoria engine and DMM it could now be a hell of a game, not like Force Unleasheds disappointment

But it's good to see ol' Matt Hazard back... rofl

Thirded, they were great games, although the last one wasn't so super.
Still better than most of the crap that comes out nowadays.

Baldur's Gate. True, they "concluded" the series, but it was the best RPG ever. Or I'll phrase my request different. I weep for the death of all Western RPGs. Somewhere along the line someone mixed up the description and decided that FPSs were close enough (*cough* Mass Effect).

And Total Annihilation, which I think may have been the best RTS ever. Oh sure, there's "spiritual successors," but doesn't everything claim to been a spiritual successor these days?

I morn for Dungeon Keeper, and for Anarchonox. Ok, that one wasn't a series, but it should have been - the plot ends on a cliff hanger, and their never has been closure (And Eidos, retards that they are, refuse to allow even indie fan-fiction endings even though they have zero intent to do Anarchonox 2)

Meh, I liked Mass Effect. And Supreme Commander is about as close to Total Annihilation 2 as your going to get. To be honest, the storyline of TA was ... well, limited.

The XCOM series was pretty awesome, I wish they would release a new one with up to date graphics, preserving the turn-based system. Also, some more games based on D&D stories in the style of Baldur's Gate would be nice like Icewind Dale was, etc.

I tried the demo and bleh, definately not my cup of tea, which is a shame since the screen shots made it look like pod racing, though I doubt they handled that badly or it's a wonder little Anakin survived.
