The ending of Persona 3
Oh, god, don't remind me. It's hit me so much harder when I was a female MC and had made one of my dear party members my boyfriend. Yeah, that wasn't a good idea. Bawled my eyes out.

Though the game that got to me the most was probably Xenosaga III. I mean, really, the ending was just so unnecessary. I can't listen to the soundtrack out of fear that the ending song will start to play and I will start crying all over again. /wussy

Mafia 1 - brilliant from start to finish. Tommy Angelo is still the most developed video game character ever. Hell, he's better than some movie characters.

Metal Gear Solid 3 - everyone who played it knows why.

Bioshock - good ending was just perfect. So was the rest of the game.

Mass Effect 2 - I finished it with a Paragon ending and everyone survived. I felt like I was on top of the world. It was just that great moment, you know?

This is going to sound idiotic, but I cried at the end of Kingdom Hearts. IT WAS SAD, DAMN IT.

Last game to move me was Phantasy Star: Universe for the PS2.

Not only was it really fun, the story very good, and the characters easy to warm up to, but I was sad for a week when
Mirei dies.
I was slightly moved by the story of Reach, but it was very predictable and... Noble.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Oh, and I was deeply moved by Black Ops...
Deeply moved to rage >=/

In the final 15 hours I became a serious MC/Aigis fan, so the original ending scene was so bloody unbearable.

To be honest? Call of duty WaW, you have to admit that the Russian campaign is one of the most emotional and powerful FPS experiences that you have ever had? my skin crawls as I play it...the American campaign however is kinda sucky..

I recently bought myself a copy of the game ICO and I have to say its been a long time since I played a game good enough to touch my heart. So tell me a game that moved you on the inside. Hopefully you have played one, if not GO BUY ICO NOW!
Indeed, ICO is a thing of beauty which I much preferred to its more popular and revered partner, Shadow Of The Colossus.

The ending was so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye.

especially the second ending when you find Yorda on the beach- made me feel warm and fuzzy
I cant read or post spoilers so for any one that doesn't want to know please direct ur eyes elsewhere.

Anyway I actually had a part that wasn't suppose to happen crush my heart. When you were suppose to jump to the other side of the bridge when you were getting split up I didn't know I was suppose to jump so I saddle watched as my friend slowly was pulled back to castle. ='(

Final Fantasy 6 and 5 moved me. I wanted to cut Exdeath down to my level when he did something awful. And Kefka I wanted to laugh at him when I destroyed his dream after what he did.

There where a few instances in Nier that made me tear up a bit like when
Fyra dies.
I also bawled my eyes out when my dog in Fable 2 died, but luckily he got revived so everything was cool.
Definately Nier for this, with the exact same situation. Emile's (IIRC) speech afterwards was pretty moving, even though he was incredibly annoying.

EDIT: I found Bioshock 2's ending moving.

The two I can think of is Fire Emblem (With Eliwood, Hector and Lyn) since that game is involving directly as in the characte are talking at you (sort of like first person view) in some of the cutscene. It make you feel far more involve then having a avatar of some sort of you.
Also in Okami when I clear the darkness in this area and this song play
It really feel a great accomplice for doing that task.

Halo Reach, i shit you not.

Seriously, i fucking love Halo, and i loved Reach's campaign. But honestly, without the music that game wouldnt have been epic. At all.

Halo fan or not, listen to this awesome track.
I can't remember what cutscene this music is from, but it fucking rocks. Wait for the guitars at around 20 seconds, shit gets real yo.

I can't believe I forgot this! The music on the Lone Wolf missions made it and Kat's death.

I seem to get moved by everything I play, especially when a moral decision is required. Recent examples: GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption, Splinter Cell Double Agent...if I make the "wrong" decision I'll find myself regretting it deeply. I suppose that's testament to the power of storytelling. Like the post above says, music seems to very important to create a rich emotional experience, I love "Ezio's Family" from the ACII soundtrack.

Many games have moved me, some parts in Kingdom Heats 2, most of the Silent Hill games, especially the second, Alan Wake moved me a little. But the games that have moved me the most are Metal Gear Solid 3 and 4, I was sobbing at the end of MGS3, and was crying during a few parts of MGS4

Heavy Rain, only game, where I have actually cried. Those bad endings are just wrong....

Also, Red Dead Redemption.

I actually thought Mass Effect 2 was moving. I genuinely cared about my crew and did not want to see any of them die. My favorite crew member, Mordin Solus, was the only one who did and this bummed me out big time. I was shocked that a video game could strike such a deep emotion in me.
Hear hear.

When my Garrus took a bullet in the end mission I was genuinely shocked and worried. He and Miranda were my standard mission companions and I really liked the bugger. Fortunately Garrus survived, although Jack didn't make it for some reason.

After the game ended I had a warm fuzzy feeling for the rest of the evening. Mass Effect 2 is an amazing piece of work.

Shenmue towards the end of the game when:
The final conversation with Tom, when you see his plane fly off
I don't know why that scene in the entire game got me but at the time it did.
I know what you mean. I love the atmopsphere so much that I spent the first (in game) day just admiring the ambience outside the Hazuki house.
Aye, amazing game; wasn't too keen on 2 though (or at least what I played of it), that being said I'm still hoping for 3, just to tie up the story if nothing else.
