Oblivion, that unimmersive, bland, bug ridden piece of sh... well, waste of money that is.
Only way to make it even remotely enjoyable is by heavy modding (good luck with that, console players).
agreed thank you.

OP: As for me? The whole mass effect series, unlikable garbage characters with cardboard cut out personalities. the game is just horrible and should just go away forever.
... Politely disagree.

Amazing. I go through this whole thread, and find no mention of KotOR 2 (though really, its more a matter of being released later than not at all).

Final Fantasy 14. The Mi'qote where adorable but that didn't offset how absolutely shit it was as a game. I might spend time on it if it was Free but I wouldn't ever pay to play it. I actually enjoyed gathering resources, reminded me of Minecraft with catgirls. But without the Minecraft.

I take it that you're counting Sonic & Knuckles as part of Sonic 3, as those when combined make it into one of the greatest games ever, and the best Sonic game.

I wish Magic had never been released, the amount of money I've spent on those packets of crack moulded into the shape of a card...

Definitely Dragon Age II. At least, it shouldn't have existed for a long time. Even if they kept fucking everything up while making it anyway, at least the story might have been better if they had more than a year and a half to make it.

Ugh I hate these threads, they always result in flame wars. Every game that has ever been made, even the bad ones, serves to teach us something; even if that something is what not to do in future. So every game that currently exists should exist.

They're still not charging their subscribers.

Custer's Revenge should have not been made.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas, to me it's a poorly, rushed game on a horrible engine. I honestly think Fallout should of stayed with 1, 2 and tactics and let the franchise live as one of the golden games of PC.

I'm getting sick of saying E.T. and Superman 64 so I'm going with something new: Hotel Mario and Mario is missing. I hear they were both pretty god awful.

Also, Mass Effect 4, which actually ripped space-time and created a black hole that destroyed its own existence.Nothing else...
actually I'm gonna defend E.T. don't get me wrong it was a crap game, but without it games would not have evolved into what they are today. They would have just become another little toy for people to make for quick cash.

OT: Alan Wake, hated that game. It was not scary, the game play sucked, and the story was bland at best. It was just a Silent Hill(pre-Homecoming)knock-off
You do realize that game was the straw that broke the camel's back and killed the games industry for a time right? I don't think dieing helped out games any.
Exactly, with out that break we couldn't be where we are today.

ok this is really selfish
yes there are games that some people dont like
but you shoould remenber that this is a comunity
and for every single game in existence, there is at least 1 person in the world that likes it
you dont like it you dont buy it
but no one should decide what games are mede and wich arent
i dont like WoW, but i dont think the world would be better if it never existed
cuz other people like it
and they are happy playing it
so i dont get to wish that it was never made
thats the same as asking if you wanted a person to never been born
NO ONE SHOULD DECIDE THAT
that is all..
thank for the attention and sorry for the rage

The CD-I in general should have never existed. Hotel Mario was one of the better games for it which is kinda sad considering how bad Hotel Mario was. The biggest hunks of shit on the CD-I though, the trio of Zelda games released on it. Wand of Gamelon is the only one whose title I remember.

As for a more recent game that shouldn't have been made, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. What I mean is, it would have been great if Force Unleashed was made into an anthology. The first game taking place between Revenge and New Hope. The second game could have taken place say, during the Clone Wars where you either play as A: a Jedi you create (A great hook for any game) or B: a pre-existing Jedi (or wookiee) from that timeline (not a terrible idea, especially compared to what we got). The SW:TFU2 we did get...honestly I never played anything other than the demo. I didn't want to acknowledge it's existence after hearing the premise. The Force Unleashed wasn't a perfect game but it was good and it had a good ending. It answered unasked questions rather nicely and seemed to tie up it's loose ends. The Force Unleashed 2 was completely unnecessary and a total FU too. It probably ruined any chance for a Force Unleashed Anthology and I hate it more now for making me think of the game (and possible series) that could have been. Especially since that Dark Side Edition was released! It tells me the development staff could have easily made a Force Unleashed centered around an actual Sith Lord like Exar Kun or, Naga Fucking Sadow! Those ancient Sith Lords were the most powerful wielders of The Force in Star Wars Cannon and there's a freaking list of potential characters just waiting to rip shit up!

Hahaha, NO.

Just...NO.

--------------------

-Anything made by Bioware from Mass Effect onward.
-Any Sonic game from Shadow the Hedgehog/Sonic 2006 onward.
-Movie tie-ins, 'nuff said.
-Mario Galaxy and its sequel.
-Pokemon spinoffs/remakes.
-Megaman Starforce. All of it.
-Every Megaman X sequel from X4 onward.
-Angry Birds. Crush the Castle makes it redundant.
-Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. That is all.

Mirror's Edge syndrome (IE: Brilliant for the first few acts, rapidly goes downhill)
Really i loved mirrors edge I found it just lacked the extra development it needed not in controls (excluding the combat) but in the enviroments and story. I found the game to short and the levels would have been amazing if it was a open world concept where you decide where and what to climb rather than being stuck to a path.

SSB Brawl is the first on my list for not only failing to live up to Melee, but also just failing in general in design and mechanics. I would really like to know how they had gone from the amazing game play in Melee to the floaty, glitchy, campy, shallow garbage that is Brawl.

Starcraft 2, because I really hate what they have done with the story and how they have laid it out.

Also, Twilight Princess, while a good game, they could have used the design to start a new franchise I believe. I don't know, it just feels like a waste.
The funny thing is, all the quirks and hidden things found in Melee like wavedashing and playing as Master Hand, were not intentional but made the game as some know today. I believe I read somewhere that Sakurai said Melee was a little rushed. But people play that game hard still to this day. However, with Brawl, he took his time developing things and look how it turns out. Brawl is a very good game, but compared to Melee, nothing.

So, a game that had unintentional features (Melee) was better recieved compared to a game that Sakurai took more time on than before (Brawl). What does that tell you?
I think you didn't read my post at all. I made very clear how I feel about Brawl and I said nothing about wave dashing and any other special techniques.

The game play in Melee is great (even without special techniques) while the game play in Brawl is below average (the original smash brothers is 10 times better), and I would love to know how he/she/whoever could spend so much time on Brawl and fuck it up so bad.

Don't bother with an argument, were going to agree to disagree on everything after you just said "Brawl is a very good game". Those words are blasphemy.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet, but: EVERY MARY-KATE AND ASHLEY GAME. Seriously. Those games should not exist in the slightest.

Perhaps Barbie video games can be added here. And yes - they do exist. This is from having a younger sister with no taste.

Gears of War
Halo Reach
Borderlands
Dead Space
Force Unleashed
Medal Of Honor: Tier 1

All for being entirely boring games that really couldnt interest me. Gears was just a maze of chest high walls and irritating noises, Reach just left me wanting to replay the first Halo because it was far more fine, Borderlands had me bored by the end of the introduction fetch quests, Dead Space I just walked round with my pistol drawn because I knew there were going to be jumpy things from the start, and Force Unleashed for it's appaling game play and mass of quick time events. Medal of Honor for having a pitifully short story line and guns that felt about as powerful as a a sharpie and utterly generic "I R SUPAR MARINE" characters that could survive everything.

Fable 3: I'm glad it existed, because I do love the franchise, and I liked the world and gameplay and graphics and how they've developed Albion over a continuing time line. But there were some heavily irritating things I hope they learn from. The "Spend money/take money" basic morality in the second section, not being able to just imprison Reaver and take his vast wealth which seemed like the best option, it's sudden massive time jumps in the second half, the dog STILL being a jumpy useles bugger, the lack of any real benefit to being King/Queen, the vagueness about your father/mother, the amount they wanted me to care about the side-companions, and a couple of other bits.

I've never understood the reason to create these topics. Every game made in history has a place here, if only to show how not to make a game.

Dislike is not the same as "should never exist"...
This is in your own personal opinion, mind. You are right, but sometimes a 'learning step' is not what results from these games. Just look at the Sonic series - the developers haven't learnt anything from their past failures, and yet it just keeps going. They only serve as examples to other series now.

I wasn't going to bother an argument. What point I was trying to make was that, in a sum, the rushed game that is Melee is better comparable to an unrushed Brawl, which leaves it as a backwards delusion.
