Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
I absolutely loved that game as a child but I never got past the water temple but that didn't keep me from horse riding and collecting money and getting really good at various competitions in the game.
I am thinking of replaying it now 10 years later to actually try and get through it.

I... I just realized that I own ALL the Fallout games, and have played all of them, but have only finished Fallout 3.

HOW?

Mass Effect 2 is the only one that comes to mind.

I really didn't like ME2. At all. I just couldn't take it after a little over five hours.

Alan Wake. I actually had nearly beaten the game by the time I had just stopped playing. I just sort of lost interest. Not because it was bad (though after a five or so year wait, I was a little disappointed), I just couldn't be bothered to put in the disk and spend 30 minutes getting to the ending.

I actually started jonesing for the game after I finished Twin Peaks, but realized I had sold it back by then.

This year? Picked up FF13 from a friend.

It's been sitting on my shelf staring at me for the past 2 months. It is not fun.

let's see...
Psychonauts - played until meat circus, got distracted by other games
FF VIII - 90% done, but it gets too hollow and pointless in the end
Chrono Cross - couldn't be arsed to grind through the final dungeon. also the plot at that point.

I'm one of those people that play to 90% something and then just leave the game die in a corner T_T

If we ignore the old games that were made to crushed your spirit with controller breaking frustration (god damn the original PoP and Kid Chameleon).
Recently bought are empire total war, never completed as couldn't be stuffed counting down the clock as had generally achieved the win comfortably by the half way point, Civilization 5 for similar reasons. Oblivion, despite clocking over 250 hours I have never done the final mission of the main story. Titan quest cause it felt like a grind, which is wierd as it is so like diablo II which I played to death and loved (come on May 15th).

Dragon Age Origins. I have started it twice and both times failed to finish it. The first time because my PC reached the end of its life and I had to replace it - playthrough 2 didn't keep my interest after the "origin" portion because I felt like I was retreading. Nothing wrong with the game.

Also: Baldur's Gate 2's expansion (Throne of Baal). If have finished BG 2 many many times but never been able to get far in TOB.

Marauder Shields killed me so I never finished Mass Effect 3 :p
Marauder as in the Reaper Turian form? or do you mean the Guardian? in that case, shoot through the slot for their eyes.
It's a joke. The Marauder at the end of the game is the last guy you kill so people joke that it is like the last boss or something. I don't quit get it but I know it is a joke of some sort.

I rarely stop a game because I'm utterly bored or don't care. The prime example being 'Silent Hill: Homecoming'. That game still stands as the biggest disappointment in my 20 years of gaming.

In my case, it's only when I simply don't know what the hell I am supposed to do next or when I 'mislevel' a character that makes the game too hard for me. While a walkthrough usually helps, there are some cases in which I'm completely lost. For example:

- Metroid Prime 2 Wii (which is a shame because I really like that one)
- Neverwinter Nights (too many active quests)
- Forbidden Siren (doesn't matter what I do, I can't open any new chapter)
- Breath of Fire 5 (fucked up gameplay)
- Saint's Row 1/GTA 4 (got caught in a mission that's too hard. And I suck at driving in games)

Icewind Dale. For a game that came out back to back with Baldur's Gate & was made by the same company, it sure was boring.

Morrowind. It was my first massive world game. Explored the game & played around with mods for a month, never got around to actually playing the game, lol.

Every MMO I've ever played, but really, how many people ever play one long enough to have done every quest?

I never finished Daggerfall because of the Systemical problems it gave my computer back then.

I wish to be a Wereboar. But never did.

On PS1: FF 8. Never quite get enough to the story, but still Squall rocks.

Two Worlds 2- the only thing going for me in this game was the combat and leveling up. The story was crap, and the dialog was horrible (unlike the first one, where the dialog was so bad it was hilarious). I stopped right at the end- becuase the last boss battle was a total let down that pretty much negated the combat and leveling up system. I was killed by the final boss and didn't even bother to try to defeat it- because I just didn't care and i had other games to move on to.
Yup, this right there. The latest game I haven't completed, simply because the boss is not test of all the things I've learned in the game, but a weird section that's never before in the game.

Metroid Prime 2. I just don't know where my copy went. :p
Oh man, I would seriously consider lending you my copy just so you could get closure, but I know you can find a copy on EBay for $5-10 or at your local games shop. Which reminds me... I need to go used games hunting sometime soon.

I beat it as a kid and got every mask, but I have trouble remembering where/how to get a few masks these days. I was a much better gamer as a kid, with much more patience =|

I have sooooo many games on my list... At the top is Baten Kaitos with Okami close behind. Maybe this summer I will devote a week to Baten Kaitos... I remember getting SO FAR in that game, but losing interest cuz I was stuck or something /shrug
Okami I just lost interest because Skyrim came out and I was sleep deprived from that.
