Metro 2033, Crysis 2, Far Cry 2, Prototype.

The first one I regret not finishing. The others...not so much.

Weird I've only ever put one game down and that was Fable Three - Game was far too boring.

The first three that pop into my head are Shadow of Rome, Titan Quest and Spartan: Total Warrior.

Shadow of Rome: I got up to the last stage of the game. The large arena in Rome. I just could not get past the early gladiator matches there. So fucking hard, man.

Titan Quest: I never even got out of Greece :/. While I enjoyed what I played, I guess it was too repetitive and dragged on too long for me to maintain my interest. I liked the game world and enemies though (the turtles on that coast were a god damn nightmare).

Spartan: Total War: Same as Shadow of Rome. It just got so frustratingly difficult later on in the game to the point that I just gave up eventually. If I remember correctly, I got as far as Rome itself somewhere. Eh, I don't know.

Many many games over the years, although most I do plan to finish the real world has other ideas, so most I settle for "get my money's worth in game time" these days

But cant pass up a thread like this without mentioning the first witcher, lord knows ive tried so so sooo much, on many occasions but I just cant get past the outskirts of vizema before I get bored and give up, I just cant do it, which is sad because I know theres probably a great game behind that zone but I just cant do it

Also theres some like Monster Hunter Tri, the monster hunter series in general, but they dont really have an end point so to speak.

I've not finished tons of games, but the most recent/memorable ones would be:

Metal Gear Solid 3: I just didn't like the setting. I probably got burnt out on MGS at that time because I was doing all 3(at the time) games in a row.

Dead Island: It's repetitive as hell.

Bulletstorm: Again, repetitive.

Borderlands: Got boring.

I'll likely be adding Kingdoms of Amalur to that list soon. It just can't hold my attention.

Clive Barker's Undying: I tried four or five times from scratch but somehow I never found the time.

Bionic Commando (2009, PS3): Hated this one from the start and stopped playing after a quarter hour.

Most of the games I own. I don't even want to provide a sample of the list.

Oddly enough, I'm okay with rarely completing games. I play games because I enjoy them, not necessarily to finish them. If I never really get around to finishing a game, it's either because I've been too busy, or because I've lost interest.

Limbo (Steam game)

Metro 2033 (Steam game)

Resonance of Fate (Damn hard, would really like to get back to it someday)

Star Ocean: Till The End of Time (Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite)

Limbo and Metro 2033 are both fantastic, they just fell into the curse of my Steam games list. Along with the 40 or so others I've yet to even play once.

Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Oblivion and Skyrim. That is because I usually try to do all the side quests and explore the map first before doing the main quests. When i've done that I usually get bored with the game and then I can't be arsed to do the main quest.

There are only a few, a shameful few. I have a policy of not picking up multiplayer and usually not picking up a new game until i finish the story.

Mass Effect 1
Majora's Mask
Fallout New Vegas (that was out of spite though)

that's all i can think of for now. Keep in mind, I have played hundreds of games.

Marauder as in the Reaper Turian form? or do you mean the Guardian? in that case, shoot through the slot for their eyes.

Games I never finished because my saved game got deleted (My old PS3 died on me)...

Final Fantasy 9
Beyond Good and Evil
Assassin's Creed 2
God Of War 3

Games I never finished because they bored me to tears...

Borderlands
Oblivion
GTA IV
Farcry 2
Final Fantasy XIII
Morrowind

One of my favorite games ever that I simply stopped playing out of frustration was Paper Mario the TYD. Got up to the last boss ages ago when the game came out and couldn't beat it. To this day it shames me to say I never actually beat it.

Going all the way back there will be loads of titles. But in recent years...

- The Witcher. I tried, I really did, but by halfway through the third act I still wasn't having any damned fun, and I hated all the characters to boot.
- Torchlight. I didn't try quite so hard with this one.
- F1: 2010. This was the game I thought I wanted for years, being a huge F1 fan IRL. Turns out I was wrong, and I really do like powersliding when it comes to video games...
- Mount and Blade: Warband. I just didn't get it.

I think the trend here is that these were all games that would have taken a long, long time to "finish" (I don't think Mount and Blade even has a finish, per se) and in the end they all ended up feeling like work rather than fun.

Like 95% of the games I played on NES. Like 75% of the games on the SNES that I played.

I actually recall the very first game I beat, without cheats from start to finish.

More recently: I didn't finish darksiders I just... I just didn't care.

Not so much in the past, but far too many these days. Lack of time is a killer for this.

-Super Meat Boy
-Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
-Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
-Braid
-Skyrim (shame, too .. I was having a lot of fun with this one)
-Fallout 3

My younger brother was scared of the end of that game. I had to force him to finish what he started by going on and pretending to fail. I heard he was going to one day beat the game again without any help at all.

If you still have the game, all I can say is try turning off the sound (and grind using the 100 trial pit).

Two Worlds 2- the only thing going for me in this game was the combat and leveling up. The story was crap, and the dialog was horrible (unlike the first one, where the dialog was so bad it was hilarious). I stopped right at the end- becuase the last boss battle was a total let down that pretty much negated the combat and leveling up system. I was killed by the final boss and didn't even bother to try to defeat it- because I just didn't care and i had other games to move on to.
