A Valley Without Wind, it's an indie game on steam and it seems like no one has ever noticed it. Granted the graphics are just god awful, so maybe thats why no one buys it.
I bought it...

My game that no one talks about is Bushido Blade 2. As I've said before, best fighting game ever.

That game looks flippin amazing!
I'm looking for a copy of it right now damn it!
Its a great game but it is hard to find, ebay might be your best bet, I actually found Odin Sphere by accident at Blockbuster (it was a new copy) when i was looking at movies, I found Okami at the same time, bought both, don't regret getting either.

A game called Baroque.
I found it cheaply for the Wii a few years back, don't know anyone who's heard of it.
And good so, the game sucked and I didn't understand crap about it...
I tried to play it for several hours but never got anywhere
People of the Escapist, keep away from this game!
Friend of mine loaned that one to me. Still hasn't been forgiven for selling it with the rest of his PS2 stuff.

Well the irritating thing about the escapist is that there is almost guaranteed to be at least someone else who has played/heard of any game you can think of. Or it might be a good thing, I dunno.
I've never found another SMT fan in real life, though. I guess most people just don't like that style of game, which is a shame.
You are not alone. I own 3 of the 4 Personas. The first two on the PSP, the third both on PS2 and PSP, and Persona 4 on the PS2. I also have both Digital Devil Sagas, and Nocturne. I pretty much feel Atlus can do no wrong for bringing those games to my attention.

Operation Darkness. It got scathing reviews but I don't think its half bad. The camera can be annoying sure, but once you get past that its a game almost equal to Fire Emblem (It's a Strategy RPG if you couldn't guess)
Have that game in my possession as well. Some of the mechanics are questionable, but overall it was a fun little game that you don't see much of anymore.

Dog's life for playstation 2.

I've never met another person that is even aware of its existence, which is a shame. Cause it is the best game ever made!
I had that! The one where you could follow smells right?

Marshmallow Duel.

One of my favorite games of all time. It's free now, since it's so old: http://mduel2k5.spadgos.com/mduel96/

Those pandemic Battlezone games. Loved those when they came out and I still think the FPS/RTS hybrid was a crazy good idea. Too bad it didn't catch on. There's an indie game developer making a spiritual sequel to those games called Bionite Origins, I'm hoping it will be as good.

Freelancer. It's not even on Steam, which sucks because I've played through it more times than I can even remember. Since I'm in college now, I can't just run downstairs and get it.

I'd say Redguard, honestly.

Despite it being one of the Elder Scrolls games, it's the least well known. In fact, most reviewers who talk about the history of Cyrodiil and all that completely gloss over the events of Redguard (Cyrus' journey from pirate, to vengeful brother, to leading a rebellion against the Empire). Maybe it's been removed from canon? I dunno.

Admittedly, it's the only Elder Scrolls where you have almost no choices and is extremely linear.

`Twas fun though. It was during that period in the late 90s when everyone was making games like Tomb Raider - 3d platformers, basically.

Another game would be Banzai!, I played on my friend's Macintosh way back when. It reminded me of Sabotage, an Apple ][c game I had. You were a little dude standing next to a mortar firing at soldiers charging your position. Tried finding it on emulators too but have had no luck. Not even a screen shot. Will check again now ...

Without a doubt, Star Wars: X Wing Alliance. I actually have never met anyone else who has ever heard of it.
I'm fairly sure anyone who played X-Wing or TIE Fighter knew about Alliance as well, but either just wasn't into the games for Multiplayer, or were just so utterly soured by X vs T that they didn't want to give another game's campaign a chance.

Here's another one- Mashed. Known in the US as Drive to Survive- it's hands down the best offline couch multiplayer game you never played:

That was one of my favorite games of the N64, and yet nobody mentions it. Ever.
That game had such fun multiplayer.
Pommy was so sweet it gave me cavities, and my favorite weapon was the Navarm Bomb.
(I don't care if Demon/Angel Pommy was better. Dragon Pommy 4life)

I-WAR 2: Edge of Chaos: Never herd anyone mention this one...ever. It was a space combat sim that used Newtonian physics which made the combat something a bit more involving as you had to factor in for momentum, acceleration times, and positioning to do well. If you could manage all that though then you could pull off some spectacular flying.

Pretty much any game I play I don't know people who've played them, most of the games are on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.
If this was supposed to be multiplayer specific, that's most games I play still.

Playstation:
Raystorm
Final Fantasy Tactics (PSOne not that crap PSP ver)
Valkyrie Profile
Breath of Fire IV
Crash Bandicoot (series)

Genesis:
Shinobi 3
Ranger X <this game apparently doesn't exist, only 1 person on youtube I've seen play it even then he JUST found out about it
Flashback:Quest for Identity
Phantasy Star IV
Beyond Oasis
Sparkster

PSP:
Jeanne DArc

GBA:
Summon Night 1 or 2

Honorable mentions:
Ratchet and Clank series, I'm aware people play the game but I never hear about it, I read/hear more about Mario than Sonic, Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet and Clank combined.

Every Bomberman game on the Nintendo 64.
Team Buddies on the Playstation.

Two of my friends have played the latter, but we're all classical/hipsters in terms of gaming preference and experience.
I'll chalk that one up as a miracle and say that I haven't met any normal people that have played it or have even heard of it outside of a handful of internet goers.

All the Bomberman games that existed on the 64 (even Hero) were quite fine and it's a shame that relatively few people got to experience them. I know 64 and The Second Attack were pretty popular in Japan, though.

Other games of note include:

- Metals Arms: Glitch in the System (Xbox, PS2, Gamecube)
- Brute Force (Xbox)
I thought these three were common, Metal Arms at least. Metal arms is a classic to me. I like Brute Force much less.
In the age of the internet, everyone knows about everything, so I don't have an answer.

Lords of Magic for PC. It's an RPG/RTS hybrid with a turn-based movement and economy system that switches to a real-time tactical battlefield when combat is initiated. There were eight different "faiths" you could play as, like order, chaos, life, and death, which gave the game a lot of replay-ability.

The only people I know who actually played it were my brother and I.

I got onto this discussion with Lords of Magic specifically in mind. I love this game back when my friend introduced it to me many years ago, and my current copy still works to this day. Good choice.

While several of my friends played Star Trek Bridge Commander, I still know of nobody who played the turn-based Birth of the Federation.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue.
It's not that obscure, but I've never heard it mentioned in web-videos, and in my opinion, it's one of the best games made for kids ever!
Oh, I've played that one before, but I never hear anyone talk about the Slugfest games, they're pretty fun if you ask me.

I have to go with Trap Gunner for the PSX. A pretty much perfect evolution of the Bomberman formula that would, I honestly believe, be a giant sized hit today if it were updated and released with online play. It now, however, sits alone and unknown buried in the depths of the PSX library. There is some footage of it on Youtube, so I know I wasn't the only one who ever played it, but it deserved a much better fate.
I actually have 3 copies of that game, due to some Ebay shenanigans last year. (Two of them are open to good homes, if completeness isn't an issue!)

I couldn't really name anything specific, since I don't broadcast too much about what I'm playing at any time. Games I remember enjoying a lot, but that no one else I've met owns, include Threads of Fate and Tail Concerto on the PS1 and The Guardian Legend on the NES- but even that isn't a good measure. Most of my friends know my games are pretty much always available to loan, so they don't buy things I own. *shrugs*
