Bioshock, it was not worth $5.
Haha, good one... Now seriously take that the fuck back right the fuck now.
Sir, he is what we call a troll.
A differing opinion does not a troll make.

I have no opinion on Bioshock having only played the demo, and not being a fan of FPS games in general. But I think archville is allowed his opinion, even if Tom doesn't agree with it.

OP:
Dragon Age: Origins.
Lucky or me, I got almost half of the money back when I sold it to the store and put the money toward a much better RPG: Trinity Universe.
He's not a troll for disliking bioshock, he's a troll for not explaining why.

The original Neverwinter Nights. It kept crashing on me back when I first bought it, even though I had a decent gaming PC at the time that had better than what the game needed to run. Then, as time passed, and patches came out to keep it from crashing all the time, and I got an even better PC, better games have come out.

1. Gears of War was a functional game, but was completely boring and not very fun at all. Sort of like the iPad. It works fine, but why the hell would I want it?
2. Serious Sam was tonnes of fun to play with friends at LAN events and net cafes and whatever, but when I actually bought it I realised that without the friends it really is nothing. Double cannons are great, but friends are better. Not worth buying, but definately worth playing.
3. Kane and Lynch. HUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Tekken 6 I have yet to find a way to enjoy it. Everything just feels so jerky and cumbersome to me.

Mario Party, the first one, I picked up on or shortly after release to see what all the hype was about. I ended up selling it, an extreme rarity, and never came anywhere near the series again.

Star Fox Adventures.

Red Faction: Guerilla. Because of GfW-L, and the game is unplayably bugged, stuck at about 4fps. They should put up a warning: "Game may be unplayable on W7".

Legend of Dragoon (Playstation 1) for a couple of reasons.

As you level up, you unlocked moves for each character. The only problem was, performing each move was a mini Quicktime event. That's right, each and every move. It hits six times, you're having to tap the button six times at specific times, or you cannot complete the move, get murdered, ect.

If you actually managed to complete the move, the character shouts out the name of it each and every time at the top of their voice. Granted, it was interesting the first few times, but when grinding against a boss, it gets tiring to here someone screaming "Pointy Fork Attack!" every nine seconds while you're trying desperately to complete the infuriating Quicktime combos.

And lastly, it was the story. It was actually decent, up until the end, that is. Towards the end, it was more tangled and confused than a cat in a tumble dryer. To this day, over a decade later, I'm still not sure exactly how the game ended. I've tried to restart it, but never get very far.

I hated that game more than Midgar, but I just couldn't put it down.

I think I'm gonna have to go with FF13. God damnit, if I wanted to play a corridor full of enemies, I'd get a light gun game.

Well took me day to think of this but

I Regret buying pretty much any DS game becuase there so shor t and i dont like handhelds alot

and also Harvest Moon A wonderful Life, strangely addictive but then i played the original N64 and i have to say i like the N64 version because it has more appealing aspects and doesn't demand you marry some ditzy chick to get past the first chapter AND Golden Tools! OH YEAH!
I'd recommend Chrono Trigger. That son of a ***** is almost worth getting a DS for.

Team Fortress 2. God, I hate that game.

Yeah, whatever, just hate whatever you want. I think it is a very fun game.

And my regrets? Far Cry, although I paid next to nothing for that piece of shit. Oh wait, I PAID NOTHING for it and still regret wasting my hard drive's space on it.

Mass Effect. I bought it for the PC for just 10? at Gamestop and was expecting the gaming experience of a lifetime. What I got was a 'meh' space shooter with RPG elements, a decent story and remotely interesting setting. But the sound was atrocious, it would sometimes cut out altogether or start filling every place with some random "kkhhhhsshshshsss" and the inventory management (even though I heard it was streamlined for the PC) was just booooooooriiiinggg. I played through it once and found it not interesting enough to go back.

And it was short, too. I did a LOT of sidequests till the point I could have bought the whole galaxy and still finished it in just a little over 15 hours.

Oh, and Morrowind. Probably was nice in 2002, but when you have no manual for the game, all I could do was just run around and try to figure out what the hell I was supposed to do. Even with Oblivion I had to study the manual for a weekend until I knew how to play the game properly. Morrowind was just... blaaaah.

I think I may have posted in this thread before, but I'll post again regardless.

I really regretted buying Final Fantasy Tactics Advance the first time I played it.

Six months later however, I gave it a second chance and was stunned by all that I'd missed.

The only reason I hadn't immediately enjoyed it was simple: It wasn't the Final Fantasy I was used to. (Turn-Based-Combat)

Far Cry 2. It's one of those games that seems awesome enough for the first hour of play, and then you start to realise it's the same shit over and over again, with very little in the way of an identifiable plot. I couldn't even bring myself to finish it, it bored me so much.

Dracula - SNES... Just terrible...
Family Dog - SNES... What the hell was I thinking..?
Manhunt 2 - PS2... Should have rented it...
Crackdown - 360... Why did I buy it when I had already beat it years ago..?
Ghostbusters - 360... It was okay I guess...
Red Dead Redemption - 360... Too short...

This topic is fun to read so many different tastes. What one hates the other loves. A lot of hate for 2 worlds though (i did like that one).

The games i really regret getting is : Alone in the dark and Too Human (specially the last one(funny how many games i like people hate))
