Any game that requires me to purchase additional content after purchase, in order to enjoy the full potential of the game.

The only two companies that I flat out refuse to purchase from is Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) and any game developed by Cryptic Studios.

Left 4 Dead 2. That shit was *entirely* DLC content, with most of its ideas/bug fixes promised additions to L4D(1) - then halfway through, they decided to hire 4 of the worst voice actors, record some unfunny dialog, and slap a full price tag on it.

Entire tripe, from start to finish - L4D had promise, it was obviously an incomplete product on release (see also; none of the pvp maps working), but when Valve said they'd fix the bugs and make the maps actually playable, I said "neat." But they never did, instead opting to charge me $60 for bugfixes for a game I'd already bought.

Fuck you, valve.

Unrelated; I don't get what the hubbub is with draconic DRM. If the game is quality, play it. Blizzard games, by and large, have all been amazing products, even back to D1 and WC2. Blizzard is greedy, and they work to put in enough DRM to deter most would-be pirates, but is that really going to stop me from enjoying Diablo 3? Definitely not!

Any Assassin's Creed game that involves Ezio, I refuse to buy at full price.

I have a bit of a history with the three Ezio-centric Assassin's Creed games.

-Assassin's Creed II I absolutely adored, both for the fact that a cashier made an error and sold it to me for $20 (about a month after it was released, no less!) and for the stunning construction of Florence, Italy. Then I didn't play it for about 6 months. I reinstalled and was told my CD Key was invalid on the account I had registered it on. In order to play the game, I had to crack it because after requesting support from Ubisoft, they told me to buy a new CD key at 60 bucks.
-Assassin's Creed Brotherhood I bought at full price a few hours before Ubisoft screwed me over with ACII (I was trying to refresh my memory before playing it). It ended up being bad parts of the first game (highly repetitive activities) mixed with the second game. It was alright, but not the most enjoyable game I have ever played.
-Third game I just got for half off. Not surprised that it's Ezio. RELEASE THE THIRD INSTALLMENT ALREADY. Anyways, I'm not too excited for it, considering the people on my Facebook who 'love' games keep saying that this will be the best Assassin's Creed yet, if not the best game of 2011 that isn't Skyrim. I'm sorry, the best game of 2011 PERIOD is Uncharted 3 because of a highly artistic and narrative sequence that could be recorded and framed as proof of games as an artistic medium.

Any steam-exclusive game.
As well as singleplayer games that requires a continuous internet connection.
Fixed. I removed the word other from the second point because it implied that steam-exclusive games require a continuous internet connection, which they don't, you don't even need to be connected to boot the game just to download/activate it.

There are some legitimate reasons to dislike steam (As close as I can tell letting people in your own household use you steam account is in violation of their user agreement, which is dumb. If I'm not mistaken this also means that all games with local co-op are essentially just tempting players to violate the user agreement, which is even more dumb.) but the complaint that was implied above is just false.

Jordan

Assassin's Creed until they get off Ezio (although I did just buy AC1 used).

I tell people I'm boycotting EA, even though I bought the hell out of Dragon Age games. To be honest, it's just my excuse when people tell me to download Origin for BF3 or try playing TOR with them.

I'd love to play the Dragon Age 2 DLC, but I'm just not paying for DLC when I only got half a game for the price of admission.

I won't buy Shadow Complex since even a small fraction of money will go to Orson Scott Card. I can't even buy it used...
I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, even someone like him, but a baseball bat at high speed to the face wouldn't be the worst thing in the world....

Pretty much anything I don't buy is simply as it's something I'm not interested in or did not enjoy the previous games.

Mainly sports games, will give anything a go if it's really cheap.

Left 4 Dead 2. That shit was *entirely* DLC content
It used the same game engine but it had just as much if not more new content than L4D had and L4D had DLC, 3 of them and they were all free.

none of the pvp maps working
Can't speak for release as I bought the game 4 months after launch but I;ve logged 260Hours in L4D all of them PVP, not had any issues with PVP on any of the L4D maps.

Any EA sports game, any game with Peter Molyneux's name branded on the fucking cover, ANYTHING Capcom related, and ANY absolutely ANY game that has on-disc DLC. If I decide to buy either game, it'll be used and dirt cheap so they won't see a cut of that money. Usually with the codes intact.

Skylanders: "Spyro's" Adventure

IT'S NOT A MOTHERFUCKING SPYRO GAME. >_<
If you take away the Spyro name, it's a fun platformer with an interesting way to keep track of your characters levels and progress, also hats.
Yes, but I was expecting another good Spyro game, not this. I am completely, if not more disinterested in Skylanders.

All EA games. I really hate their business practices, mainly the horrible ads, buying up and shutting down developers and using licensing to stifle rival games. Though EA are making it easy for me as they haven't released a game in ages that I've wanted.

I step off my morale high-horse when it comes to video game 'boycotts'. Even when a publisher/developer does shit that I despise. Why? Because I'm the only one losing something here. A company like EA or Activision doesn't need my support, doesn't need my money, and I'm not going to be able to convince the millions upon millions of people that still purchase their products blindly and defend them to death.

Not buying

MW3 sorry full price for an expansion length SP campaign and a few different MP tweaks can go hang.

Batman: Arkham City: $99.99USD on steam for NZ region, fuck off if you think I accept that price.

Those are the main ones but pretty much any game these days where publishers inflate the pricing for my region.
