Hmmmm, none I guess. I haven't bought an Ubisoft game since they introduced their always on DRM (except AssCreed2 which had the DRM removed and From Dust which they promised didn't have it). That was easy because Ubisoft don't publish any games worth buying anymore. I'll buy the new Rainbow Six game in a flash if it is anything like the Red Storm games.

I have Origin and don't have a problem with it, at least EA don't sell your information. Irony would be defined as a Facebook group campaign against Origin for "privacy" reasons.

Bully actually has a VERY strong anti-bullying message. Once the main character defeats one of the rival factions, i.e. Jocks, he tells them to stop bullying the smaller guys and gals. The game's all about helping others out with their problems, not yours. The main character's actually a nice guy, he's just mad that his mom got re-married (again for the third time), and that she sent him to prep-school.

It's not a bad game, the title is just very mis-leading.
While I really wouldn't call Jimmy 'nice', I would call him fair. He's a prick, but for the most part, the actions he takes are against those that use their strength to pick on others. That's not saying anything about the player though, as the player has the option to pick on anyone they want, to beat them up, throw them in trash cans, or dunk their heads in toilets, but none of that is actually required to beat the game.

In fact, the first faction you take on in the game is the Bully faction itself, and what happens when you beat up their boss, well, Defeat Means Friendship [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DefeatMeansFriendship].

I'd ask for you to look a bit more into a game Lions then to judge it just by the title alone. Also, I find the mindset of "It happened to me, so it's insulting", to be very very fickle. It's like laughing at a comedian only to object when he makes a joke about a group of people you belong to, and then suddenly it's either offensive or wrong. Least that's what my mind is relating it to.

I don't buy any Ubisoft games that contain DRM and I hate their always online shitty anti-consumer DRM. It's not stopping any pirate and is just making it harder on those with no means to connect.

I haven't bought Assassin's Creed: Revelations and I don't ever plan on it. Its sad watching a series that could go anywhere ANYWHERE with such a good start fall to the trap of yearly game making and overusing the same two protagonist. Assassin's Creed II is one of my favorite games of all time and if Ubisoft finally drops Altair and Ezio (off the face of the flat earth) I'll consider it. But as of now Assassin's Creed is dead to me.

And DM[sub][sub]motherfucking[/sub][/sub]C
Simply because it's not Dante. Seriously, he's an alternate reality clone or something! Not to mention the emo haircut, he smokes and he doesn't even sound or act like him.
So Assassin's Creed shouldn't recycle their progangonists...but Devil May Cry should?....

When I was a kid, I really liked Daggerfall (Elder Scrolls before Morrowind). So when the third Elder Scrolls game came out in 2002, I was rather excited. I even bought new parts for my PC to play it.

And it sucked.

And it sucked again in 2006.

And I only got a 2011 version as a gift... and it sucked a third time.

So I don't buy Bethesda games anymore.
This. This is how I feel about the elder scrolls bullshit. People give me shit about it. Most of them are 7-8 years younger then I so i explain to them what a real RPG was in the Baulders gate, Neverwinter, Planescape, and Daggerfall era.

Hopefully it won't come to this, but if Mass Effect 3 comes bundled with Origin for Xbox, screw Bioware. Generally I'll continue to buy the game anyway, but used so none of the money can reward the publishers (a viewpoint that is roughly equivalent to blasphemy around here).

This...

I am so freaking stoked about ME3 and the prospect of a Battlefield 2143 game that i can't see straight. But I refuse to install origin period. I would hope to subvert this and get it for xbox 360 but, as you have stated that I didn't previously know.... THERE'S A FUCKING ORIGIN FOR 360?!?!?!?!?!?!

It's probably been said to death on this thread, but I'm not going to buy any more games from EA and Activision for all the obvious reasons. I'm also going to boycott games by Ubisoft, well, after I get Rayman: Origins, that is. >.>

I have quite a few:

1. Anything that Cliffy B was directly involved in
2. Any Ubisoft product (not really a protest, their products just suck. Plus, they really, truly hate PC gamers).
3. Any Call of Duty game after World at War.
4. Any Blizzard title.
5. Any title that has Games for Windows Live attached.
6. Anything Nintendo made and/or published.
7. Madden/Fifa... let's just say sports and sport management games.
8. Casual/Family titles.
9. Any Kinect title.
10. Any title developed by Ninja Theory.
11. Any title developed and/or published by Capcom (except Asura's Wrath, everything else does not deserve my attention or money).

Nope, I only judge games based on their own merits, and price. Hell, I've bought games I never expected I would just because they were bargain bin.

Ubisoft.

They wanna be total pricks to PC gamers, then fuck'em. I won't buy or play any of their games regardless of how good they may be. Not until they stop acting like dicks and stop treating every PC gamer as a potential thief.

Clean up your act, and then I'll buy your games. But for now, they aren't getting a single cent of my money or minute of play time.

Oh my god, you are so right! All games should fall under the same formula and storytelling standards.
I don't know why it wasn't so obvious before. Face palm indeed!

All righty then, kindly elaborate for me, if you loved Ezio so much, why should he go and why should Dante stay? Kindly explain, I'm all ears.

I want to say FF XIII-2 because the story already (from what has been explained in the trailers) seems a bit too confusing and it feels likes it's going to one of those "the last 30-40 hrs didn't matter because you changed the past, making the future different, and making the whole experience pointless"-type of endings. Also, the fact that Serah is in her early 20s yet she looks exactly the same from the last game is a bit annoying.

The gameplay also looks very similar to the previous game and the promise of open environments is more like multiple paths to the same ending and are only there for exploration purposes, primarily to 'break' the flow of linearity.

I was thinking of trying Zeit[sup]2[/sup] [http://store.steampowered.com/app/33390/?snr=1_7_7_230_150_2], but after seeing it was published by Ubisoft, it went from "maybe" to "absolutely not", for as you may know, Ubisoft is a top candidate for "biggest asshole in the history of the industry", and I refuse to fund their latest behavior with even a cent, even if it does make me feel like a poseur twat.

It's not the developer (who isn't Ubisoft)'s fault, and I feel bad that I'm indirectly punishing them for someone else's mental retardation, but if it's got Ubisoft's name on it, I'm not playing it.

I will NOT buy Jagged Alliance Back In Action.

Sure it has the name of a good and solid gaming series. But that is where it ends.
Changing the fan-requested Turn-Based play style to a Plan & Go style.
Limiting the players option in comparison to the older games.
And the complete FU attitude the developers have to the fans they say that they are making it for.

I do not have any rules for say but there are general trends to what I will and will not buy.

I will not buy any standard PC or wii game above the price of £30. It may creep up to £35 but never over. If a game is speciel edition with additions that make it worth it or are bundled then price is not an issue unless it is purly not worth it.

Games that require 100% internet connection. The exception for this are multiplayer games, mmo's and the like but if the game is single player and locks me out the game as soon as internet is lost I am not playing and if i know this in advance i will not buy. I will also avoid games that feature DRM that does not have the law abiding end user in mind.

*eyes twitch* *Turns on fanboy mode*

CRAPCOM.

Those assholes are incapable of handling perfectly good franchises. Automatically neglects an IP that didn't sell well initially, releases the same bloody game with slight updates when it does sell and reboots franchises like its 1999 (DmC)! And DON'T you dare get me started on their constant negligence and mockery of the beloved series that is MEGA MAN.

Cancel two whole FUCKING games, one which was anticipated by pretty much EVERYONE, ignored when looking for characters to put in UMvC3, shrugged off by the company and sent into cold storage until the inevitable BS reboot or rehash all over the course of FOUR GODDAMN MONTHS!!!

*calms down*

Okay, I think I'm done here. Capcom makes good games, they just DON'T know how to handle them. If they release a good game that isn't Megaman now, I'll buy it used. Pricks ain't gonna get my money unless its to support the Blue Bomber.
