Modern Warfare 2's campaign. I mean, I technically took a short break, but I still beat it the same day I got it, so I think it counts.

I beat Halo 3 ODST, Gears of War 2, MW 2, And i also beat ME 1 twice in one day, and still did a fair amount of side quests in both playthroughs.

Portal.

No idea how you managed to do HL1 in one sitting. >.>
Really? I used to do the occasional "Half-Life 2 Weekend" Where I would beat Half-Life 2 on Saturday and then Episode 1 & 2 on Sunday. I could probably get all three in one day if I really tried.
I can see doing it in a day, but a single sitting is...well, impressive.

Helps that I get very, very lost in the tunnels every time I play HL1, though.

Only Portal. And only because it was short, yet extremely good and engaging; otherwise I might have split it into two or three sittings. Either I savour games more or I'm just slow, but I don't really get how you can beat longer games that fast!

Oh, just remembered a kick-ass all-nighter I had with my cousin once, playing Halo 2 through on co-op. That was great, and one of the last times we hung out together.

Anyone that has said Knights of the Old Republic is a liar or an insomniac. If they're an insomniac, they STILL didn't do any sidequests, never talked to any party members, and skipped most dialogue. Also is psychic and a robot. (On another note, am I reading this thread wrong? I'm thinking games you beat your first time in one sitting)

Anyway-- Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Star Fox Assault, and... uhh... Huh. Thought there would be more. I need to fix that...

I'm assuming that this excludes all games which didn't feature the option of save and resume, otherwise those of us around in the era of NES and earlier would rack up a laundry list.

On second thought, might have to start eliminating a lot of Flash games, too. Was about to start listing some of those until I realized I'd spent a few months studying them in my spare time and raked in about a dozen a week.

So, excluding those games which can only be played through in a single, if broken up sitting/session:

None, though Link to the Past came close due to me wanting to see if zero death count meant anything (why the save and quit option raised the death count I'm sure I'll never know).

Guess it just goes to show why I'm largely a casual gamer, being able to leave a game for extended periods of time regularly is actually enjoyable to me.

I'm going to have to start looking into making a plushie representation of the save function now, my love for it's reached adoration.

Last game I remember playing in a single sitting, all the way through, was Space Siege.

It was a piece of shit. Only reason I didn't stop once I realized how bad it was, was the fact that I wanted to be done with the damn thing completely. Traded it in the next day.

Mass Effect... god that was a boring summer.
Jesus Christ. Really?

I'll buy you a pint for that achievement if we ever cross paths.

OT: I can't think of any.

I did the Dead Rising achievement that requires 14 hours play in one sitting.
I woulden't recommend doing it, you'll live longer.

Remember kids, doing a bet given to you by drunk friends is not a good thing.

Most every game from 4 to early 32bit systems. Going back and finding old classics and gems such as Metal Storm is hardly the long experience it would have been back when I was a child still learning about games. Which is actually quite interesting, as I have less time to play games now then I did as a child.
