Why did the robber shoot the clerk? So that he had more time to run away before the clerk could activate his police scrambler.

But seriously, he should've stolen something more valuable than a Wii. Or maybe he just needed the extra mobility.

Clearly, he was shot because he was in on it.

See, see.

See.

They decided to rob the store together. The thief didn't think it looked convincing, though, so he shot his accomplice.

No, that's good! Hmm, now all we need is a youtube video with poorly photoshopped pictures that make our theory look valid... yes!

I hope the clerk's okay... The robber mustn't have been a gamer if he demanded a wii of all things (fnar fnar).

He probably shot him in the leg thinking that it might slow the clerk from getting to a phone to call the cops.
that's what i'm thinking or at least make it so the clerk can't chase him/find out his license plate.

Oh, well. People get shot in shops all the time. Just because someone in a game store gets shot, I don't really think it's gaming news.

Though I do remember one funny time in England when I read about a store clerk who fought back, and hit the robber with his own crowbar.
seeing how we don't give 2 shits about what you think, well just read it anyway.
This guy didn't resist and thats why its interesting.

Definitely unfortunate. You know the clerk had no desire to take a bullet for a godforsaken video game store for money and games that are insured. He did exactly what he was supposed to and all the robber had to do was show the gun and there was no threat.

A Wii? Goddammit, he could've taken a PS3 or something, and he takes a Wii instead; that just hurts. That gun of his probably cost more than the Wii itself! (but then again...Florida)

Wow, an unnecessarily hostile new person. Seems you're going to grow up into quite the troll if you keep this up.

It doesn't really make it interesting, it just means that the robber is a dick. Big whoop.

Wasn't that Supervisor G. Freeman?
Maybe the future Freeman. Although Freeman doesn't exactly have a large stomach and manly beard. Or a badass scar on his face where the robber hit him first.

He was shot for working for GameStop. We would all do it in that situation.
Why people have this unmitigated hate for Gamestop, I'll never know. I work there and I have yet to see an unethical business practice or mistreatment of customers.

Ha. I see what you did there. I remember that.

And I hope the guy recovers quickly.

How long, then, until they blame this on video games? Because, clearly, video game consoles have an aura of corruption about them making you violent and want to shoot people for no reason.
