I agree, makes me wonder sometimes... I've heard some terrible stories from their ex-employee's.Scytail said:Now if only GameStop would distribute some of that 2.28 billion to its employees and stop treating them like shit.

Unlikely because digital copies have no value. There is an infinite number of copies that can be downloaded.SpcyhknBC said:I wonder if it'll get to the point where Gamestop will allow you to trade in used games for online currency/only online currency/store credit
Yep. And yet most still ***** about them not caring.666Chaos said:Lets face it the PC crowd is pissed off because of lack of dedicated servers, cant deny that. After the first few months mw2 had somewhere around 900,000 sales on the pc and was pirated over 5,000,000 times, again cant deny that.ZeppMan217 said:I facepalm you, good sir. Don't talk if you don't know.
Since when was Gamestop one of "the good ones"?Souplex said:Why Gamestop?! You were one of the good ones...
Starcraft, Starcraft 2, Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft, Diablo 2, Diablo 3, and let's not forget that every Call of Duty has been on the top seller list on Steam. I don't agree with everything that Activision does, but I'm not about about to say that Activision doesn't care about the PC crowd. If it's been pirated so much, I think that only proves how many people want to play their games but think they're too fucking good to have to pay for such a lowly shooter.666Chaos said:Its already been proven that the PC crowd doesnt give a fuck about call of duty and activision doesnt give a fuck about the PC crowd. When your game is pirated on the PC five times more then it is actually purchased then that crowd can do fuck themselves.Lord_Gremlin said:Just trying to analyze... So, BF3 is not available on Steam, but MW3 will be. So on PC MW3 won already.
EA don't know jack...
Since they were the biggest player in the used market that keeps physical media alive. Digital Distribution will lead to higher prices because shelf space is not an issue. Shelf space is why games go to the clearance bin. Also, there is no used market for DD games.Aris Khandr said:Since when was Gamestop one of "the good ones"?Souplex said:Why Gamestop?! Eh, the used market (and Gamestop) could die tomorrow, and the gaming landscape would be better for it. They're a vampire sucking at the neck of the industry.Crono1973 said:Since they were the biggest player in the used market that keeps physical media alive. You're wrong, the used market has helped this industry grow and without it, the industry would shrink.Aris Khandr said:Eh, the used market (and Gamestop) could die tomorrow, and the gaming landscape would be better for it. This is true, I have bought from Steam, Impulse, D2D and GOG.Andy Chalk said:From a gamer's perspective I still don't see the big deal about buying games from one digital platform instead of another. It's not like I have to drive farther for one than for another; they're all right there in front of me.
As for GameStop vs. Steam, Steam is the big dog but GameStop is already a multi-billion-dollar company, so it can bring a lot of resources to bear in the fight, not to mention the fact that it can coordinate its digital efforts with retail-level advertising and programs that Steam cannot. That's a potentially huge weapon.
