Played a level or two of tomeraider with my girlfriend, but we kinda got distracted and put it off.
That counts right?

Mario Party 4 on the Gamecube was my fav to play with my ex, lots of laughsRock said:Is there anyone out there that has the good fortune of playing video games with their boyfriend/girlfriend?
I recently beat the co-op campaign of Halo with my boyfriend and we've been playing online a bit together here and there. I know a lot of people talk about how to get their significant other to accept their gaming habits, but I wonder how many of you guys out there actually have the other participate?
We usually play zombie games together like RE5 and L4D but things like Halo and Modern Warfare aren't left out of the mix either.
Can you suggest any good games to play together? What do you like to do?
Aside from broken bones and knobhead exs, a lovely storyAlisonPrime said:My fiance, and I are both female gamers and we met in chat rooms for awhile, but our romance didn't pick up until after I met her in person in an emergancy room for a broken arm by sheer coincidence (she was the surgical resident who reset my arm). We 1st began as a flirty couple of girls on Xbox live, owning some pretty bad kids at Halo 2. We even got banned once cause they complained that we were gross and unwanted even tho it was just harmless playful flirting. Until one day when our ban was lifted she asked me if i was seriously into other women, and I admitted to her I was bisexual and currently in a relationship, we backed off for awhile. Then the same year the guy i was dating got real violent with me and broke my arm after he threw me out of a moving vehicle and luckily someone called the police. I finally got to meet the girl I chatted with all that time in person by sheer coincidence. I didnt know where she lived, i didnt know what she looked like, or even what she did for a living. We just knew eachother's names and she looked at my Chart and just said "AlisonPrime360" (Not my gamer tag for Xbox live anymore) and I was shocked she knew my tag and I just said yes. After setting my arm and I was discharged she met me in the parking lot and asked me out one more time and I accepted, and 3 years later, We're set to Domesticly Partnered.
Its called a closet gamer, and there is nothing wrong with that.darth gditch said:Though I have no significant other at the moment; neither of my past girlfriends would play games with me. My first girlfriend couldn't understand what I saw in gaming, so obviously we never played together. She didn't even enjoy watching me play.
My second girlfriend did play video games, but didn't enjoy talking about them or playing them with other people. It was like she only played video games to be able to have input on gaming discussions and to take out aggression. Which saddened me greatly.
Huh, that's an interesting take on it. Would that mean that perhaps she was embarrassed by playing video games?Kevmcl1 said:Its called a closet gamer, and there is nothing wrong with that.darth gditch said:snip
Honestly i didnt read it as being snarky. The way you describe it though does make it sound like she is a closet gamer. I have found many people like this, mostly with video game or anime, who are more than willing to tell me all about the latest game they played or what they are watching at the moment, and the highlights of there last multiplayer game, but once in a group of non fans will not discuss it. Maybe i find it more because i dont really look like your typical gamer, so they feel comfortable talking privatly about there guilty pleasure with me.darth gditch said:Huh, that's an interesting take on it. Upon reading my post back to myself, I realize I'm coming across as snarky towards the girls I dated. This was unintentional, I was just trying to state facts. Albeit, my opinion is definitely not objective. XD
PM me with the details. With a name like sweaty ballsack, they must be good. I must know.schwetty balzac said:I'm playing Heavy Rain with my current girlfriend, but that's about all she's interested in aside from Wii games.
My ex and I played WoW together all the time, and got together with another WoW couple and had sex...I mean, partied up and ran instances. Heh heh, yeah...that's what I meant.
Yeah, this is what usually happens with me and mine. Like, they actually say they enjoy watching but prefer not to play.ColdStorage said:My Girlfriend likes to watch me play videogames, especially KillZone 2 if I'm drunk online and therefore performing poorly and throw fits claiming the shots aren't registering, but she doesn't partake with me.
