Watched the PC gaming showcase. Pretty indie and AA heavy, which is only to be expected. Some thoughts.

Frostpunk 2: Liked the first, would probably like this too.
Ebenezer and the Invisible World: I like metroidvanias, and the art is nice, but I'm not feeling it from the gameplay shown
DORF: Over the top Red Alert? Yeah sure, that might be fun.
Saleblazers: seems like a 3D Recettear. Put it in the maybe pile
Ferocious: it probably isn't actually that, but it made me think "what if they tried Trespasser again, but good"
Mariachi Legends: Not much shown, but metroidvania and nice pixel art got my attention
Citizen Sleeper 2: I should probably pick up the first one sometime. I heard it's quite nice.
Undead Inc: depending on what kind of game it turns out, might be something
Parcel Corps: reminds me a lot of Jet Set Radio, which I would be down for
Macabre: need to see more, but put it in the maybe pile
My Friendly Neighborhood: another for the maybe pile
Sand: another for the maybe pile

Also, I've actually paid some attention to the chat, and holy crap, so much fucking whining. Some samples. "Why no Bloodborne pc?" Because it's a Sony published game and Sony would announce that in their own show, you dumbass. "Why look like mobile game?" and "4090 go brrr". Aw, someone is having buyers remorse over that $2000 gpu they bought?

It's a comment section, so of course it's a cesspool, but wow, it was like a hundreds of 12yo trying to out-stupid each other. Entertaining tho, in a terribly braindead way.

Christ, move the hell on people! Bloodborne on PC is never going to happen. All you are doing is making yourselves is another Half-Life 3 coping mechanism.

The Starfield 30FPS announcement has been trending on twitter and it's funny. I love watching Xbox fans try to dunk on Playstation only to have it bite them in the ass immediately afterwards.

So we start things off with Just Dance 2024. Not really interested

We got to see more of the Avatar game. I still don't know if the world is interesting enough to earn a video game adaptations. Now of course it will never give me that IMA-quality visuals, but it still looks pretty good. I still miss the option to play both as a human and a Navi. Gotta appreciate how they try to make humans look as much of evil douchebags as possible. The gameplay looks really standard like every other AAA games I've seen so far, but I don't know what else they could've done.

The third game is more on xDefiant, a shooter game. But they fucked up the audio part and everything is muted lol. It looks like Ubisoft-brand COD, but somehow looks worse? Not only that, they are fully embracing the live-service stuff. It actually looks disgustingly egregious.

The next game is Pop reboot. The gameplay and artsyle are great IMO, but I am not sure on the character designs.

I should mention the showcase has been really weird so far. Instead of the gradual transition between trailers and audience reaction, there are just jump cuts. There are many issues with the stream, with audios going missing or the clips going black several times.

Adi Shankar, the guy behind Castlevania Netflix series, is anmoucing a new animated series based on the Ubisoft games composite. Normally I hate stuff like this in a GAMING showcase, but the dude is really talented and I have a full faith in the guy

Ubisoft tradition.

So Ubisoft bugs. Makes sense.

Then we have The Division Resurgence, a mobile game. Just No

Another musical performance for Skull and Bones. The guys are pretty damn good with their performance, but too bad it's associated with Skull and Bones.

Mario + Raddibs are getting a Rayman crossover. Cool

The Crew Motorfest, a racing game. IDK, I am not a huge fan of racing games, but I much rather play Xbox's Forza over this

AC Nexus, a VR Assassin's Creed game, stretching out across various games in the series. Ehhh....

More on AC Jade. Too bad it's on mobile, otherwise I'd probably play it.

Also for AC Mirage as well. And this game actually looks like an AC game, none of that action RPG crap. I am intrigued

More on Star Wars Outlaws. I am getting some Uncharted vibe. You get to fly the starship yourself? And just like I wanted, little to no Jedi, Sith, or Force-related stuff.

Megaman X Drive sounds fun, but also very monetizable

SF6 is already getting a professional competitive matches. That’s actually impressive.

Pragmata is getting delayed? I mean i never heard of it before, but I’m glad they are admitting they need more time

Ace attorney collection! Nice!

I thought exoprimal was gonna be a dum fun game. But it looks like there will be some sort of plot?

That game got announced around 2019-2020, and no words until now.

At least there's an single player campaign that is dumb fun. That was everyone's complaint about the demo. PvP was the main focus, and Capcom was being coy at the time. I will probably get this for PS5.

The Star Wars Outlaws gameplay they showed was quite nostalgic. A very on-rails trailer, the only thing that was missing was that awful pretend multiplayer talk from The Division.

The idea is promising, but the gameplay looks quite stiff. The gunplay looks pretty nothing, it seemed like they had a lock on setting. The speeder bike gameplay also looked pretty boring. This time it was definitely a lock on for the combat. What is even the point of that?

It's looking like AC Mirage is exactly what I was fearing it to be. Just a quick, cheap "return to roots" where they just stripped out the RPG elements and made a more smaller, more compact game world. No real effort to make a more Assassin-y AssCreed game.

I'm not totally against that idea, but the game has now been officially downgraded to "wait till it's dirt cheap or free" status to me.

Also ew, what was that chain kill ability? They really couldn't keep themselves from adding wacky bullshit huh.

I'll give the team credit for being so straightforward with the game (so far). Too bad it's you know who.

Assuming that the Capcom was the last showcase, I think it is surprising we haven't seen anything from EA or 2K/T2. I thought we'd get so ee more of their evil plan to steal more money from us, but I guess they knew they weren't gonna impress anyone this year. Nothing from Devolver Digital either, but who knows what those insane bastards are cooking up this year.

I've been interested in Ghost Trick for a while now, but the available options were rather pricey, so on the wishlist this goes.

Also interested in that new Ace Attorney trilogy. Glad to see the 2d character art in Apollo Justice is nice and clean. Been playing the Phoenix Wright hd trilogy off and on, and man, character art in that is so ugly. I honestly would've preferred they kept the old lowres gba sprites.
