Not many universities bother looking at your GCSE's. As long as you have a good grade in Maths and English, it's fine. Potential employers don't ask for your grades either, they don't even ask about your A-levels half the time. A-levels are most important to get you into uni, and I thought they were much harder.

So...the wait is finally coming to an end. In about 8 hours GCSE results for UK students will come out, and I for one am very worried. We've been working towards this for about 3 years, and it is a pretty big milestone.

Personally, I probably shouldn't be worried, because I've been fairly lucky with my education and I feel I performed well, but that doesn't stop me from bricking myself right now...

So Escapists - are any of you in a similar position, and if there are any others who took them last year, how did you find it?
You'll get what you deserve. Don't worry, no ones going to cheat you out of grades. If you do poorly it will have been your fault.

Results are in.

A*s: Latin, Greek, French, English Lit, Science (Double)
A: German
B: Music

Get. The. Fuck. IN!
I never really anticipated anything much from German and Music (and I was astonished to get an A* for French and Science) so...
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!

(Now all I need is for my luck to hold throughout A levels)

Unlucky bro, but your right it isnt easy, although i still only revised like 1-3 days for each exam and got C's in everything(History and Poltics), although i put effort in Art and almost hit a B.

I suppose i got real lucky, i dont know why i was being stupid in year 12 and 13, suppose that depression was getting to me.
Yea I know what you mean, I started the year off motivated but by the end of it I just wanted to sleep all the time.

If I get back in tomorrow I am aiming for all As... I know I might fall short of that in maths but I'm more than able in ICT and Psychology.

I'm moving up into year 11 after the summer ends, but I'm pretty worried what I'll get for my GCSE's.

Most of my teachers reckon I'll get D's, only English, History and Physics has any hope for me, it seems.

I'm really strugging, also, so I must be a giant fucking idiot.

I got my Standard Grade results a while back, the exams were not that hard, the teachers liked to build it up to make us worried.

Nice, but as a now-second year college student I must warn you, GCSEs are piss easy compared to A-Levels :p

Well done there though dude.
