Gearbox Delays Duke Nukem Forever Until Summer

Seriously w/e, too many games are rushed to deliver on a date set far in advance. A lot of things can happen during development that makes it take longer. Better a bit late than cutting content á la KotOR 2 right?

I know everybody is going to make a big joke about more delays, but I am waiting for a good game, not a crappy one, and I want to enjoy Duke Nukem the way it should be: Like a Fine Wine, if needed be. I will wait a little bit and hopefully play a pretty awesome game.

This is the coolest delay announcement ever made. I don't give a rat's ass if they delay it for another year, this here one minute movie is epic.

I gave up on waiting for DNF back in 2001 anyway. When it's ready, it's ready.

I'd rather they delay it and make sure it's polished rather than release a shoddy product. We've already waited 12 years a few more months won't matter. It works for Blizzard, I don't think they've ever released abad game.But this game better be amazing. There's no excuse now.

But...it could all be starting again! All over again, man!

First it's a few months, then a few more, than bang! Duke rides off into the sunset again, destroying gearbox in his wake, and perhaps most concerningly, leaving aliens colonial marines to finally die!

Although seriously, the above catastrophe pending, I'm kinda grateful. So...many...awesome...games...so little cash to spare at one time! So the duke appearing as a cure for the annual summer games drought would be pretty awesome.

JUST BEWARE! BEWAAAARE!

My PC and I sincerely believe we'll never be playing Duke Nukem Forever. Neither of us are entirely surprised but we're greatly annoyed that we bought an external hard drive just to have room to install it, well, that and Portal 2.

EDIT: Just noticed that the rest of the world is getting the game BEFORE North America. Isn't that kind of odd? Not that I'm complaining, just that it's usually the other way around.

What I found as slightly more odd then that was that it went from coming out in North America first to shipping internationally first... It's not like it's a big deal, it just seems odd to me for some reason.

I think that's ecivdence that this announcement is a joke.
