Just for shits and giggles mainly, and because of the group of people that think it's gonna bring back the "fun shooters". Actually I will likely be one of the people getting (renting) the game but the bullshit hype machine has little effect in this example because I know the game is going to be a ho-hum average game, Killzone 3 all over again.
That's the point of Duke Nukem, though. He's walking cliché... I think Killzone 3 was trying to be serious.

I couldn't tell, though.

I seriously think this is the best thing that's happened in a long time. Duke Nukem Forever has been a joke for so long, when Gearbox decided to release it that joke went down the drain, now it does at least get one last breath of life. I feel like I have to buy the game despite not being a fan though. It's kinda like a collectible.

Well, I've got to give 'em some props for coming up with a humorous and apparently genuinely apologetic way to make the announcement.

Still, I think it hardly needs to be said that you really don't want this to happen again, yes, Gearbox?

...Of course it's coming out. There's a real developer this time. As such, thinking that it won't be released based on it's history is an application of the Gamblers Fallacy. Delays are normal, and they generally lead to a better final product. We shouldn't worry about a few weeks. I have to say that Gearbox couldn't have handled this better. Sincere apology, a little self deprecating humor, and the line, "Duke never comes early" is going to have me laughing all day. The way Gearbox handled this ensure that I will get the game.

I enjoyed that alot.

Plus the delay means I get the game after I finish my finals so I will actually have alot of free time to play it.

Honestly who cares? Unless this game is literally jesus reincarnated there is no excuse for it taking 15 years.

This is the way a company should communicate to their fans, The portal 2 delay notice was funny but kinda lazy aka-no video, it may seem frivolous but these things matter.

Better than the Ico/SotC delay. 8 months (which also means that the Last Guardian will probably get pushed back since it was the December release for the company). 8 fucking months with no announcement what so ever. It was bad enough that they only really announced a date for it when they were forced to buy sales date spoiling (which WAS on April 1st, unlike Duke), but the fact that they haven't even said anything at all officially about the game irritates me to no end.

people seems to forget that April fools is just around the corner they might be just pulling our chains...

plus international shipping before the US? that never happens especially on a game that has the whole "America! fuck yeah!" theme going for it.

hell i still enjoyed the video even if its fake or real...

Duke Nukem forever.... Delayed... Nooooooooo Reeeeeaalllllyyyyyyy? that's unpossible!

IO can understand where there are delays but you have to admit that its quiet funny that Duke Nukem forever is still being delayed after surviving going through a decade of delays dieing and then being brought back.

P.S. Is it grammatically correct to abbreviate it has as it's, or is that only for it is?
Yep.
It's been so long. - It has been so long.

OT: At least it's only a little over a month and weird that North America gets it later than the rest of the world.
I hope it's not going to be a reoccuring thing... again.
