Yeah... This guy produced Twilight. Good for him, he saw an obvious money-maker and went for it, and anyone who wouldn't do it is a fool. That means absolutely nothing with regards to Gears of War, which has a lot going for it if they get a decent writer.

Weeeelll....Gears of War is actually alot like male's Twilight. Super macho megamen sensly runnign around violently killing things. Though, considering what low expectations I have of this movie, it at most will get "atleast they...."s out of me.

Are Marcus and Dom are going to pursue a relationship and say FUCK YOU to Maria? Will the Locust morph into sparkling vampires where Robert Pattinson has a cameo role? Or perhaps we'll have Team Fenix and Team Cole Train.

I'm... I'm just going to stop you there. You may think you read the article, but you clearly didn't;

The way this film will tenuously be linked to Twilight is the producer, not the director. 300 is more directly linked to PS. I Love You. In fact, the woman who directed Twilight produced Tank Girl (which is nothing like the comics, and which the writers think is awful, but it got me into comics so I love it).

A cursory glance at imdb shows that the director for the Gears of War movie hasn't been announced yet, but the chance of it being Catherine Hardwicke are very, very small...
