Why is it a man has to open doors for women but not the other way around.

Why if I'm on a boat that's sinking do women get to go before I can.

How come men have to pay for everything.

why on those stupid shows like the view and ophera (or however its spelled) are men always depicted as arse holes even if they are right.

why on those makeover shows are men booed at then when the woman gets made to look better do people say 'see she looks nice now dont you feel like a dick?' proving the man right.

#wow reading this back makes me sound like a bit of a woman hater.

Why do hot dogs come in packages of 8 while buns come in packages of 12?
I can't believe I'm seriously answering this question, but it has to do with packaging standards in the two different industries - meat manufacturers sell their product by weight, and the (8) or (10) standard for hot dogs comes closest to 1 pound. Hot dog buns, however, are sold in multiples of 4 (usually 8 or 12) because they are baked in clusters of four in pans designed to hold eight rolls.

I've never understood that. I don't like guys that get with a lot of girls. Well, it's not that I don't like them, I just don't agree with what they're doing.

All of this comes from the fact that women cant defend themselves as well as men. This used to be true hundreds of years ago, but now anyone can hold a gun. I have hope that one day this will change, and society will evolve. Too bad i probably will never see it.

This one actually comes from the time of kings and such. The kings would send women into rooms first, because they were always worried about assassins, and they hoped the assassin would kill the woman first and the king could escape.

I've got a question: Why is it that a woman can wear trousers & no-one so much as bats an eyelid, yet a man who wears a dress is "a pervert"?
it's called a KILT.
William Wallace wears one.
Actually that's not true. Kilts weren't invented until the industrial revolution, when Scottish workers needed something simpler than the great plaid, because the plaid sometimes got stuck in the machines. William Wallace did in fact not even wear a plaid, they only came in use around 1600, Wallace died in 1305.

Kilts are great wardrobe though, I wear mine on a regular base, because fuck feminism, if they are allowed to wear trousers, I might as well wear this.
Let's found "manism". Equal rights for men!

It is pretty annoying, but that's what inherited culture will do for you...retard progress. I'd be running around in a frock and mascara if I could do so without it being made into a big deal...I like to feel pretty.

Touche. I stand impressed. No one has ever had an answer to that which made any modicum of sense.
You sir, deserve this:

So, the other day I thought about some unfair aspects associated with gender.
It's much more acceptable for a woman to hit a man than the other way around.
It's less acceptable for women to be aggressive (this results in the average woman receiving a lower wage than the average man)
Men are considered great if they have sex with lots of women, but if a woman has sex with lots of men they're considered a slut.

This isn't necessarily associated with everyone here, but it appears to be the general attitude. Why is this?
I'm a boy, in case it comes up.
It has more to do with tradition then anything else. Woman's rights are still new when you compare it to the entire history of mankind. Our grandparents and parents were taught these things and that is why even though we all have equal rights we are treated differently. In time with each generation teaching their children more about equality it will disappear. However this also means that we will never see it in our lifetime. Our great great great grandchildren will (unless the earth is destroyed by humans, which could possibly happen the way things are now).

I've worn a skirt out clubbing. I am also a man. I was not called a pervert.

Or does it not count when you do it with a group of mates... or does it make it worse...

help me, social convention is my Achilles heel.
It does...pervert. :p

More importantly, why did a group of guys go out in a skirt clubbing?
In the UK our sports teams are so manly and sexually alluring that when we go out on "social nights" we have to dress up in such a way as to appear less attractive i.e. wearing skirts, dressed in tight lycra, pretending to be gimps etc etc. Plus it's a laugh.

edit: I didn't go on the gimp one...
yeah, it's totally just an act to make yourself less attractive, lest you cause a chain reaction of strokes in the female population of the bar

OT, I do find it funny that women think its funny to kick a guy in the balls [protip: two guys might be foaming at the teeth, ready to kill each other, but they will never kick the other in the balls], but yet its called 'domestic violence' when guys kick them in the same area.
Do women actually think that shit's funny?

Man, that's just plain wrong.
I'm a woman and I don't think that's funny at all.

But if the guy deserves it, I see nothing wrong with it.

What? Aggressiveness? I allways thought it was because women cost a company more through maternity leave?
No, women earn less money on average because they're less likely to go for a raise or try to get more money from their boss.

Did no one here read/ listen to SuperFreakanomics? Women, and this is not speculation, its supported by ACTUAL facts ( if you want to learn more and find the sources read or listen to Super Freakanomics), earn less money on average because they want a family (not all obviously). Women seem to be more interested in having a family than getting a better job than men. On average women earn less than men, not because of social inequalities, but because of their own desires. Yes you do have top business men with children etc.. but they have a family usually when they are already on the top, or climbing to it. (And any one trying to argue with this fact is facing Super Freakanomics, not me, so your arguments against this are null and void unless you specifically attack them.)

That's impossible. A man can never deserve it! Nothing he will ever do will warrant a kick in the balls

No. Women receive less pay due to ignorance and latent gender discrimination.

Aggression has nothing to do with it.

Not aggression, really. I think it's more the power aspect. Theres a lot of male bosses so they might not take a woman (who's likely to be smaller than him, etc) as seriously if she demands equal pay.
Maybe the OP was meaning aggression in terms of determination and whatnot?

OT: Guys who are "rugged" with longish, "deliberately messy" hair, two days of stubble and a casual but still nice dress sense and whatnot are considered attractive.

Girls who dare to go out with messy hair (intentionally or otherwise), unshaven legs/armpits/etc, and dress casually are labelled skanks.

Guys don't seem all that attracted to the girls who don't try look their best all the time. You see women's magazines criticising female celebrities because they went to the supermarket or the gym in joggy bottoms and a hoody with their hair tied up and very little make up on. But they'll call the male celebrities suave and gorgeous when they do a similar thing (provided they don't look genuinely smelly).

So basically, women are expected to look their best all the time, no matter what, otherwise she faces harsh criticism from people around her.

Yes it does. Perhaps you misunderstood me in aggressive: I meant determined. Probably could have chosen better words but w/e.
Anyways, male bosses tend to take women less seriously, especially women employees, so you're right about gender discrimination.
However, it's not just gender discrimination. Women are usually more complacent when it comes to receiving pay, or they're simply worried about infuriating their boss.
Of course, this is a generalization that doesn't apply to everyone.
