I've only played Nier Automata but I think as much of my love for that was Yoko Taros....interesting blend of fucking weird shit and surprisingly good existentialism(What if Philosophy was 90% more weeb? It turns out the answer is Nier Automata), I do want to try other platinum games at some point. Probably one of the Bayonetta's because the whole creepy angel thing is kinda fascinating to me for some reason.
Please do. Play Bayonetta one, and then immediately go to the second game. I also recommend platinum's first game, Mad World. If you still have a Wii or Wii U. The spiritual sequel, Anarchy Reigns is decent, but don't expect too much. Still a fun game with interesting mechanics. Transformers Devastation, if you can find a physical copy for most consoles. It's not on switch, but it's on 8th gen and 7th generation consoles. And of course, Vanquish and Metal Gear Rising. The latter I discussed before so many times. The former is the best cover shooter ever made, because it does not want to be a cover shooter. Play it.

Live a Live is hard to explain why people love it but mostly the whole premise of it being 8 different characters in different eras with different stories and each story is a different genre(one's a western, one's a fighting game, one is a prehistoric....something, one's very cyberpunk with mecha, there's a kung-fu story, there's a ninja infiltrating a castle, etc) which you didn't see very often and even now still don't see that often. And while the original used the same battle system it still held together very well.
I've seen the trailer, in the concept is interesting. I make no promises, but I am curious. Each stage is a different age and passage of time.

totally get if you don't care about triangle strategy. I think it's meant to appeal to weirdos like me who wish FF Tactics would get a remaster or a port to anything more current then a PSP. I know it's on mobile but I'm not convinced I want to play it on mobile.
If it's anything to you, I know my older brother will be interested. He does not have a Switch though.

As for FFVIIR, I still don't think we know how many parts it's going to release in....because somehow SE doesn't know or they don't want to tell us Both of which concern me.
Exactly why I have little interest. I highly doubt there's going to be three parts, but if so, that is why I'll wait for the ultimate sale. If I ever decide to purchase the games. We all see the griff here.

It turns out the answer is Nier Automata) as the fun platinum combat(which apparently is better then Niers) . I do want to try other platinum games at some point. Probably one of the Bayonetta's because the whole creepy angel thing is kinda fascinating to me for some reason. Maybe it's my personal headcanon of angels being terrifying eldritch beings that we don't have any real fucking clue what they are and apparently Bayonetta seems to share that take. On an unrelated note, I've been banned from speaking at sunday school and church meets, but hey, that means I get to sleep in on sundays so HIGH FIVE!

There's also the whole thing that happens in chapter 9 that felt like a massive subversion of the standard hero plot. . It's become more common since then but in the 16 bit era I'm pretty sure it quite a shock.

I totally get if you don't care about triangle strategy. I think it's meant to appeal to weirdos like me who wish FF Tactics would get a remaster or a port to anything more current then a PSP. I know it's on mobile but I'm not convinced I want to play it on mobile. I've also gotten the impression while TS is a good game of it's type, the plot is a rather slow burn where the first few hours are laying the groundwork for the big 3 sided conflict central to the games story and you have to be invested in that world building and such before anything really happens. I think Pat on CastleSuperBeast said there's like 2 fights in the first few hours and the rest is dialogue and such, which even I'm really "Wait, what?" and I'm someone who doesn't mind detailed setup if it pays off later.

As for FFVIIR, I still don't think we know how many parts it's going to release in....because somehow SE doesn't know or they don't want to tell us. Both of which concern me. It's one of the reasons I haven't played FFVIIR yet despite owning it for at least a year because I know we're probably not gonna see the last one before 2030. I have the same issue with GRRM books, because if he's not in any hurry to finish them, I can't be in a hurry to read them.
And here I am as one of the few people that would rather see a new FF Tactics Advance game. I love the setting of those games.

Is that a good laugh? I can never tell with you man.

I find it funny that all this money that MS has thrown around to buy studios and how they've lived off past success by all the older games on Gamepass, Sony is just gonna roll up and be like...."Yeah I'm better than you at this too."

Microsoft should be worried....well they have more money than god so they aint worried. Maybe just ashamed? Yeah Ashamed is a better word.

It's a Sony laugh. Looks promising, but is overly expensive as all hell. People pay for it. I smell good and bad things.

Yep.

They can't even bother to be ashamed anymore. Too lazy for that.

I mean it's 3 bucks more than Gamepass Ult. But it also includes PS+ so you continue to get your free games on top of that and you can dial it back if you don't want the extra games. I think it's a fair sub price right now. I'd have to see the game lists though to truly justify the price but if Xenogears is on this shit.....fuck....I'm sold.

Sounds enticing and I am excited, but some of those $100 packages for a full year? Christ! Unless I read those wrong, that is super expensive. It's nice to see the PS1 and PS2 games again though. I still got plenty of old games, but it's nice seeing some that are hard to find. I know the RPG fans are going to have fun.

If you're dumb enough to pay monthly, that is.

Buy the PS+++ Yearly package and you're out only $120, rather than $180 ( G.Ult. ) or $216 ( PS+++ ).

I'd reign in that enthusiasm for their PS1 and PS2 offerings.

I wouldn't expect all that many bangers to be part of the selection.

The current PS2 games on PS Now, for example, only consisted of games that were ported to the PS4 unders its PS2 to PS4 program.

Xenogears PS1, and Xenosaga (ps2) are incredibly hard to find and expensive if you do. The PS1 had a shitload of amazing jrpg's on it and Ps2 is the best system every made (arguably) so if they gather a half-way decent collection I think it will be worth it for the retro binge. Also it would be nice to play every God of War on a single system.

I noticed. I got the Metal Slug Collection on sale earlier last year.

You know even if you took out all the haptics and trigger resistance. I'd have to agree here. I like the PS5 controller better than any other controller I've ever used. It feels the most consistant and grips easy in the hand. I know some people like the lope-sided sticks on the xbox controller but I've never thought that was a good idea because it causes you to reach differently with each hand. The thumb symetry with the stick together on the playstation controllers have always been better imo. And now that the PS5 controller is beefier, I think it's the best controller out there right now.

Pretty sure they’re incapable of being ashamed when possessing that much money too.

Playstations new sub service revealed. https://www.ign.com/articles/playst...n-tiers-price-ps3-xbox-game-pass-release-date

They will be including games from every Playstation system, so this is quite a big deal as the 700 game library makes Xbox's gamepass look pitful (only 100 games). for roughly the same price for the premium service of 17 bucks a month for the highest tier.
I’d imagine most people will ignore the middle one, considering it’s cheap enough to buy PS4 games and play them on PS5 for those who skipped last gen or something. But then again it seems like the most direct competition level to Game Pass with newer games so who knows.

For now I’ll be sticking with the current PS+ (Essential), but could see checking out the Premium model down the road for all that legacy content, once we know what it’ll include. Especially if there’s a chance we’d see cheaper yearly discounts like the 30% or so that PS+ gets on some sites every year already.

So am I reading this right, that the hacker was able to steal all that money by exploiting the crypto used by the game?

If so, how is this more secure then.... anything else?
