Dunno if its being posted before, but "Don't you guys have phone: the sequel"
Well, they did announce plans to bring more of their franchise to mobile platform (this was shortly after Diablo Immortals shitstorm). Looks like they are true to their words.

All I ask is they at least try to stick to the basic format of the original IPs. Because the day I see starcraft candy crush clone will be the saddest day of my life

Of course it is.

Keep burying yourself deeper, Reggie!

Sad, but this has happened before. It's disgusting as always.

Who would buy these, though? I mean, I haven't played any of the Animal Crossing games, but I've seen others play a few of them, and none of the islands looked even remotely unique enough for people to actually want to lay down real money for them, when just recreating them seems almost trivial.

Few things:

-I disagree (in general) that the mobile games (or any mobile games) are obliged to stick to the original format. Seems like such a waste. Mobiles obviously have nothing on PCs or consoles when it comes to imput, but I don't agree that they should be bound to the original format either.

-What's "the basic format" of Warcraft these days anyway? It's already in three genres.

-In case you're wondering about the format, We already know that Blizzard's working on two Warcraft mobile games. One of them's reportedly something akin to Pokemon Go (likely using elements of WoW's pet battle system), the other's an MMORTS. Speaking personally, don't give a damn about the former, and the latter, I will admit, does interest me. I'd prefer Warcraft IV, but Command & Conquer: Rivals was pretty damn fun, I could see Warcraft getting similar treatment.

Someone made that as mod in Starcraft 2 and it was actually really fun.....I wish it wasn't
You wish something...wasn't fun?

I wish the game formula wasn't fun, because when it's not done with greedy microtransaction bullshit it's great. And if they made it a mobile game it would still be fun, but it would become predatory and terrible at the same time.

Well, yeah, but the mod doesn't have microtransactions (correct me if I'm wrong).

Pretty broad brush, isn't it?

That's always the risk with F2P games, mobile or otherwise, but not all predations are created equal.

So, minor update on the Warcraft mobile one, according to Jason Schrier, the Pokemon Go-esque one was cancelled, and the one being revealed is "the other one." So, presumably, the MMORTS mentioned earlier.

Clunky mechanics, overpromising compared to reality, engine problems, and falling behind what the rest of the industries put out since its announcement.

Yeah, sounds like a Bethesda game.
Don't worry, the Modders(AKA unpaid QA) will fix it

This is exactly what i expect tbh. Like Fallout 76 they will shove this out the door and hope to patch it later or whatever. But the magic that people people tolerate Bethesda's crappy games is gone and they cannot put out ass and expect people to keep defending them.
Did it really end with ‘76 or are there still a surprising amount of defenders?
