He came speeding out of the curving tunnel over a hundred MPH. He wanted to show off. I saw the video. He killed his passenger.

I think I’ll await the findings of professionals who know what they’re talking about.
Why? If you see a ship crash into an iceberg and sink, do you need to be told by a professional that something went wrong?

He was going WAY over the speed limit.

By your logic, the passenger died because he was ejected from the car when it hit the barrier. That MUST mean he wasn't wearing his seatbelt (after all, the car couldn't have malfunctioned leading to the speeding that you know he was doing, even if the cops haven't said anything because you know more than them or anybody after watching the video that they have also seen), so why was he riding so recklessly?

Last thing I'll say on this (thought about editing it into my last post, but decided to double post instead since it's a separate thing): I know you like to be a contrarian Ezekiel. That much has become obvious. But there's a time and place, and subject matter, to be contrarian. Even if this is genuinely how you feel, it's in really bad taste to see people paying respect to someone and saying "Yeah, but he deserved it, mourn his passenger instead".

He spent good money on a 2026 Ferrari 296 GTS and we are asking if it was the car accelerating on its own instead of him getting excited? Be serious.

And suddenly you're the master detective or forensic experts with all of the details. Once again, you don't know shit and I am glad you're in no actual position of authority. You would be bad at it. Wait for the actual professionals, and not the armchair wannabes.

The fact that something went wrong is self-evident because two people are dead and a multi hundred thousand dollar supercar has been destroyed.

To use your ship sinking analogy, when the Titanic sank two separate enquiries were held into the event. One concerned itself with HOW it happened, the other with WHY. So now, as then, a lot of very serious people will be combing over evidence to make a determination. People who, unlike you or I, do this for a living and have experience and intelligence in relevant fields.

But readers of the news in April 15th of 1912 would have been reasonable to conclude before the reports that mistakes were made.

Also seems from the four guys standing outside of the tunnel, one of them already recording, that it was a show for them, that they were involved. Is that part of the highway in the middle of nowhere? Can't tell.

It sucks for Vince and his passenger (not to mention the families) regardless of the circumstances. However, I get the feeling if it happened to someone that people were a lot less fond of then they’d also be a lot less willing to “wait for the professionals”, even if it was under the exact same circumstances.

Just goes to show the duality of human nature.
