It sucks for Vince and his passenger (not to mention the families) regardless of the circumstances. However, I get the feeling if it happened to someone that people were a lot less fond of then they’d also be a lot less willing to “wait for the professionals”, even if it was under the exact same circumstances.

Just goes to show the duality of human nature.
Here's one of the better responses I read.

'Because applying context. Being honest and objective is more respectful than a vapid "rip".

'Pretending to be boy racer speeding dangerously while bros film is low on my tier list of empathy as it was pre-planned and he was willfully putting people inside that car and out in danger.

'Hypothetically, let's say he crashes into a family car with kids. Will we still be dropping "rip"?

'Because it's only hypothetical, suppose to give him a free pass?

'As for contributions, separating the man from the art, still doesn't negate the fact he was acting like an idiot endangering people. Moot.

'Feel more bad for his family.'

Hmm, I wonder what they can accomplish in two months? these short-term delays rarely seem to lead to good results
Probably just bug fixing tbh. I am willing to bet the game is finished and there are likely some problems with bugs that they are having a hard time to work out. So a short delay to polish it up a bit more.

That fucking SUCKS. Cliche as it sounds, the man created the games that defined my childhood, hell pretty much my entire gaming life. Horrible way to end the year.
TMZ released the video of the crash, looks like he was speeding and being reckless in his ferrari. Maybe alcohol involved?

Man it's only been a month since we were introduced to that god-awful AC shadows x AoT crossover. Now we have this
Ubisoft is once again, way too late on the AoT train. The anime and manga already ended a year and a half ago. Who are they even trying to attract at this point?

My thought process going through this thread:
"Man, people seem negative on this crossover. Rainbow Six is a tactical cooperative game, Attack on Titan is very much about squads of people cooperating as they take on the titans attacking; seems like a decent match, and a gameplay loop that could survive its literary source material ending, why are folks so negati..."

Intersection has also raised $14 million in private money separate from the equity offering. In total, the cost for the hotel is estimated to top $120 million, so the amount needed for a construction loan depends on how much money is raised.
Aside from the stupidly obvious AI-generated video, I am no city planning expert, but $120M feels nowhere near enough to achieve what they are trying to build.

I mean FFS, does Atari even have enough of their own IPs to make every part of the hotel unique, without relying on the third-party entertainments like sporting events or live-performances?

Asking people for $500 per person in fundraising is bonkers; But then again if there are people dumb enough to invest in the likes of Fyre Fest or Juicero, I guess there will always be a market for stupid people

Diminishing returns and sunk cost fallacy. Sucks to be them. They fell for the on-going grift. They're going to poor money until that guy drops dead and possibly afterward.
Speaking of crowd funding, apparently Kickstarter has become place of terrible projects to place of terrible projects + AI-generated marketing vids
What else is new? Kickstarter pretty much got bad reputation around the mid 2010s. Small exceptions aside, and not much else has changed.

Yeah, but then you have to install the epic store and that is just too high a cost.
Why do you think that? I figure, I have absolutely no privacy if you're worried about that sort of thing. My wife can simply mention to me she is interested in a widget and the next thing you know, online, emails, texts, we're getting bombarded with adds for said widget. Any other reason?
My biggest complaint, which isn't much: they often give away games I already have (This round, Hogwarts and Disco Elysium to name a few). So far, I've gotten about 400 games from them for free. I've bought maybe 5. But I did get, for instance, Dead Island 2 that I would have passed upon but for it being free. With cheats (I use a product called "Wand") it's pretty fun.
