NVIDIA will not be releasing new GPUs this year

Supposedly even talking about nothing new 'till 2028. Of course it's because they're focused on the trillions of dollars from AI instead.

There is a potential silver lining here in that I don't really think we need new graphics cards? The current ones can power like multiple 4k monitors and are huge vacuums that cost more than my first two cars.

A long-shot potential good from this is maybe in a few years they will be pressed to make graphics cards cheaper and more power efficient. That really is what that product line needs to innovate on, not tracking more rays or whatever.

PCgamer has a more indepth article about it. Personally, I think FBC:Firebreak flopping and Alan Wake 2 not really making that much from a combination of Balders Gate 3 and not releasing on Steam, kinda put the company in dire straights so they decided to gamble on this guy.

Remedy's new CEO is a former sports betting guy and EA executive who aims to 'scale Remedy in a way that builds lasting value'

Is it just me or does that not sound great?

I forgot about the lack of a Steam version. Really stupid considering Alan Wake 1 and American Nightmare are on Steam. Seriously, what were they thinking? I'll get the new Control game when that comes out, but all bets are off after the game launches.

Yeah, I really liked Alan Wake and would love to get 2, but not unless its on Steam or at least GOG.

Maybe for some indie developers who weren't expecting that many sales anyway. Not, that I know of, for any major studios. But that may not have stopped them from thinking it.

Considering how long it's already been in development, they probably already got most things done before he came on board. We'll wait and see.

Its on the steam page, it will be coming to steam same time as anywhere else. One of the few rules steam has is if you have a page, no timed exclusivity for pc releases.

I did not see that coming; I wonder if it's compatible when switching to the classic view of the original game?

Kinda annoyed that it doesn't have any story expansions, but definitely checking it out when it goes on sale

They did remove the retro graphics from the expansion, so you only get the "modern" graphics now. Probably because they didn't want to craft two whole sets of animations for the new class.
