Like... there's actually a lot of potential for what they could do with a RR reboot, both in terms of creativity AND money making but they're going with.... how many times are studios going to tread out this kind of movie with the "They're in the REAL WORLD now!" or all the stupid freaking self referential humor? The only thing that looks interesting to me is having a 3D Dale interacting with a 2D Chip.
It's the exact same problem I have with Rocky & Bullwinkle, Smurfs, Underdog, Clifford, Alvin & the Chimpunks, Sonic, and now this. Disney thinks they're saving money by being this formulaic. All their doing is wasting more money than doing a 2D animated show on Disney XD or Disney+. Because now, almost no one is going to like it, aside from those that are too young or don't know any better. Chip & Dale I did watch back in the day, but I was a bigger fan of Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, Goof Troop, Bonkers, and some other animated Disney TV shows during 90s.
Nice to see Therizonosaurs and Giganotosaurus getting some screentime.

Ironic enough, the prequel pretty much got the same reception the original 1982 version got when it first released. The only difference is that there was way more studio interference. The cgi, you can blame on the studio. The special effects team had all the practical effects done and ready to go and it looked great, but apparently practical effects are "too outdated" and and the idiotic execs who meddling when they don't belong, demanded for CGI to be overlayered the practical effect. Dumbasses. At this point, if they decide to do another movie, just make it its own continuity.
