Oh yeah, the CGI looks pretty awful. The lighting in the desert scenes (which I assume are a response to MoS criticism) belongs in a CW show.
You don't have to dance around like a 90s stand up comic making fun of nerds by calling her Superman's cousin; people know broadly who Supergirl is. Probably because she's been around in one form or another since the 1950s, and even had one (very, very risible) movie of her own back in the 1980s.
I was referring to how Henry Cavill has been included and cut out of this movie again and again for like two or three years now. Apparently now he's still slated to have a cameo? Who knows. I'm not dismissing Supergirl's involvement. I agree, it's about the only interesting thing about the movie. But you just know the marketing team desperately wants literally anyone else but Miller to feature in their trailers.
Meh I do like the story concept and design for this supergirl, but largely if I go see this at all itll be because I have a slow week at work. Nothing about this screams fomo.
