The only thing I don't like is that they are saying it's a prequel which makes the timeline and stakes a bit wonky. I find it kind of amusing that they are like "We have been hiding for centuries" and then they show a giant fucking robot bird flying around. Like you know people live in the rain forests right? I kid, I can overlook that stuff.
I'm looking forward to it. I liked Bumblebee and the new audience camera seems low key compared to the screaming maniacs we had to put up with in the Bay films.
I ignore the "prequel" terminology. It messes up the timeline so much of the Bayverse, that that this film and Bumblebee might as well take place in our own universe, separate from Michael Bay's TF. As far as I'm concerned, these new movies are a alternate universe. Bumblebee made a few references to the secret organization that knows about Transformers, but they barely ever come up and they're ignorable. Rise of the Beasts doesn't really do much to say, "hey, we're prequel to The Michael Bay movies!".
Same here. I like the human cast in Bumblebee, and I'm actually excited for the human cast in this movie.
