I enjoy being the smart one in the group. But I usually hang out with a bunch of DnD, gaming nerds/writers. So we're all pretty much on the same level, which is nice.

When I hang around my friends or family I am usually one of the smarter people unless I hang out with my few 4.0 friends then I feel like an idiot but I actually like talking to people who are smarter than me because I can't explain things well and the smart people don't need anyone to tell them what it is/is like, while your smart friends try to explain to you things you can't understand. (like imaginary numbers I still can't understand that)

Do you like being the idiot or the smart guy when you get together with your friends?
I tend to hang around smart people, because first of all you are judged by the company you keep and you can actually learn something from them, where as when you hang around people who are less intelligent than you, you learn nothing and it is only an ego boost making you feel superior.

I don't like to flaunt my knowledge in anyway, I hide it so I don't make people feel less smart. They know and realise but without me hanging it in front of them I don't draw attention to myself. I don't like discussing test scores and such with other people because when they are all complaining about a test and when asked how you did and you have to tell them you got 100% their faces always droop.

FYI: I am one of those people who try to avoid eye contact even when there is only 2 of us and I don't like people touching me.

Modest smart guy when around people I'm smarter then. Or sleeping giant around people who are smarter, I say ordinary things but every now and then throw out something profoundly relevant and clever, they're like "woah".
