I've always liked the Ghost Rider character, but I always hated the movie, mainly due to Nicholas Cage being in another movie he shouldn't have been in. The best bits were when Ghost Rider was kicking ass, which is what this trailer was. Looks like another flop, but at least the Ghost Rider bits in THIS movie will be more fun to watch.
Get out of my head, man!

But with those directors from Crank and Gamer on-board, it won't lack style or absurdity - which is something the first movie lacked, in my opinion. On top of the fact Goyer is scripting, it really can't be THAT bad of a movie.

Ghost Rider himself is a pretty neat character, it's just unfortunate that he got dealt with B-movie quality. Daredevil (my favorite superhero!), as well.

Considering they've got the Human Torch running around as Captain America, I think they've ditched continuity outside of the Avengers-related films. Though that still doesn't explain why so many people in the world look like Stan Lee. >.>
LOL good point.

I liked the first one, I like Nicholas Cage, and having a smaller budget doesn't necessarily mean lower quality.

Smaller budget means they have to put in effort, not just dump CG all over it (Star Wars 4-6 vs Star wars 1-3).

Good god, am I one of the only people who LIKED the first Ghost Rider film?!
Not at all. Was it a good movie? No, but it was sure a fun watch.

There so much false snobery in movie goers these days, especially among the sci-fi/fantasy crowd. People who like to pretend they're monocle-wearing film sophisticates with ultra-high expectations and standards who were first in line for Transformers 3 but I guarantee didn't see The King's Speech.

While the trailer explains fucking nothing, it seems like at least this film is in competent hands. I didn't think the first film was awful but while it wasn't good by any means I still enjoyed it.

Nicolas Cage? I'd rather watch Police Acadamy 8, which is actually coming out soon.
Police Academy without Leslie will ever be the same.
I think you're thinking of Police Squad
Durr what a blunder..

On the other hand, there will be no Hightower - the actor died on August 3rd :/

SOMEone took some inspiration from Bulletstorm, obviously. But I'm not complaining, since Bulletstorm exceeds the word "awesomeness".

I'll probably watch it.

Looks good so far. I like Neveldine/Taylor, but their previous movies feel like a series of over the top set pieces strung together (not that that's an overly bad thing). Hopefully with Goyers script, theres a good story to hang the action on.

Come on you didn't like Crank 1 or 2? Those are my favorite films, should tell you how much I love over the top mindless fun.
Have you seen Shoot-em-Up? I didn't enjoy Crank all that much and never saw the second, but Shoot-em-up is an over-the-top mindless action movie that I really enjoyed.

Cage has always been one of those hit-or-miss actors to me. He can be fantastic in the right role, but otherwise he's a fucking joke.

I can't tell what kind of film this is gonna be. It looks like it has potential, but the first movie was just SO awful. The visuals are certainly nicer to look at. But if this movie keeps that pee scene, it's just over. There is no recovery from that.

"I'm not afraid of you"
Lengthy montage of unrelated scenes.
Hey, no-one said "You should be". Maybe it won't be that bad...
"You should be"
Dammit.

Wasn't Drive Angry essentially Ghost Rider 2 anyway? Nicholas Cage comes out of hell to fuck things up. Only that embraced his weirdness, and it worked.
