Oi. Nick Cage, WHY?

Truly Brilliant. Although he has starred in some truly awful films he has been great in Bad Lieutenant and a few other films mainly when he turns on the crazy.

This article is too negative.

Crank was a good film, the sequel not so much BUT the directors are definitely some of the most creative around, that alone should mean the ghostrider sequel will have some standout scenes.

Pissing fire for example is a funny and unique touch. I mean imagine if that's how he finishes off the bad guy at the end, it'd be like a Duke Nukem finisher.

Plus the intro wasn't painful, it was silly and showed that the directors are normal guys who have a sense of humour.

So far so good I say.

"I'm not afraid of you"
"You should be"

HOW many films has that been used in? I'm surprised you didn't get the Wilhelm scream after that.

Good god, am I one of the only people who LIKED the first Ghost Rider film?!
Your not alone; just massively out numbered. However I would have prefered a Trail of Tears adaptation. I mean whats better than a western with hellspawn?

Well now this does look good. I liked the first one and I am sure I will like this one. This looks to be the better of the two.

Well I have no idea what it's about. I quite liked the first one but don't have hopes for this. Also, can't the ghost rider only come out at night or when he's in the shadows?

So um.. is Heimdall going to be giving Ghost Rider some advice in this, or is Marvel going to shuck the whole "movie/film" continuity thing they've been working towards in the Avengers movie by casting Idris Elba in another role in the same arguable universe...?

I'm a massive Marvel fan, but can't stand Ghost Rider. How can you make something so clearly slapstick into something dark and serious. You can't, hence the fire pissing.

However, directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (seen here in the painful intro to the trailer) have directed the films Crank, Crank 2, and Gamer. That's not exactly a sterling record.
Hey! The Crank movies are fantastic and Crank 2 is the best action movie ever made! You take that back!

OT: It's Neveldine/Taylor. I'm duty bound to go see this. If nothing else, it could be an entertaining cack fest!

I don't have high expectation for this movie. Even though Marvel Studios may be on a roll with their independent productions, this is not a Marvel Studios movie, it's a Columbia Pictures movie, and we all know how their super hero movies have turned out...
Exactly. If Marvel Studios is involved, usually moviegoers can sense some level of respect to the source material (like in the Iron Man, Cap, Incredible Hulk and Thor movies). Other studios that hold the rights to other Marvel franchises are sometimes less successful. Lemme see...Sony Pictures and Fox hold the rights of most of these: Daredevil, Elektra, Ghost Rider, X-Men 3, X-Men Origins Wolverine, Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four 1 and 2...the list goes on...

Marvel Studios isn´t putting out the Ghost Rider movies. They sold the rights to another studio. So, even though it´s still a Marvel character, it´s set in a different cinematic universe...so you won´t be seeing GR in a movie like The Avengers.

The only thing I don't like about this trailer is Nicholas Cage involved in any way shape or form.

I won't call the trailer good or bad, I'll just say it looks to be on par with the first one. If they had to do a peeing fire gag, they should have left it as a throwaway line or just a little gag like him peeing on a tree and it catching fire as someone suggested. The flamethrower bit looks way over the top and jarring in a movie that's not pure comedy.

I decided to look the film up on Wikipedia since this article is the first I've heard about it (honestly I wasn't expecting a sequel). It says that Christopher Lambert is in it and he underwent three months of sword training for his role in the film. Now I loved Highlander (the first one or the ONLY one in my opinion), but you never ever ever put a sword in that man's hands. He has the skill and technique of a five year old swinging a wrapping paper tube around.

Considering they've got the Human Torch running around as Captain America, I think they've ditched continuity outside of the Avengers-related films. Though that still doesn't explain why so many people in the world look like Stan Lee. >.>

I don't know about Goyer, after all isn't he the guy behind Blade Trinity?

Also, kicking Cage to the curb would make a much much better movie.
