Seeing a lot of hate for Cage here. Personally i agree with the statement that he's a good actor who plays in bad movies.

I didn't bother to see the first Ghost Rider movie and after all the shit it got i never came around to watch it either. So long as there wasn't anything else important in the first movie other than "He turned into a freakin' flamin' skeleton-biker" then i might watch this one if people don't tell me that it's equally shit.

EDIT: Apparently Nukem's not the only one pissing around on-screen anymore.

I seem to always confuse Ben Stiller and Nicholas Cage with each other. Either way, I can't take either actor seriously because I've only seen them both in comedy films (I don't watch many movies ok :c) and I don't think Ghost Rider is going to help me take Nicholas Cage seriously.

However, directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (seen here in the painful intro to the trailer) have directed the films Crank, Crank 2, and Gamer. That's not exactly a sterling record.
It is to me! Those Crank movies were amazing! I also enjoyed the first Ghost Rider movie, so I say this one is looking great so far!

I was expecting something in the lines like accidentally lighting something in fire while he's pissing, but either way, using his own piss like a flame thrower doesn't look bad either.

I have no problem with this. I've been a Ghost Rider fan for a while and I love that its getting a second chance.

"Pees fire"

Red flag for a really bad move. Just like a damn robot "peeing" oil on a dog.

had some absolutely kickass scenes,
I don't mean to sound hostile but which ones in Ghost rider were kickass?
My main problem was almost every fight was less of a fight and more one whip attack and its over.
That's all a matter of opinion; scenes I thought were kickass, you might have yawned at. I'm talking about stuff like him speeding up and down the exterior of a skyscraper, the first time he uses the Penance Stare, or the two Riders making their way to San Venganza. I think those scenes were incredibly cool.

The whole pee things is a stunt to get us all in the interwebs all flustered and bothered. Right now everyone is going nuts online and soon some one on tv will mention it and the movie got cheap and nearly free publicity.

Do people not get that Cage is a crazy actor on purpose? I hope I can see him at his insane, unstable best in this film.

I actually liked the first one. It wasn't a good movie but I thought it was a fun popcorn flick and I don't regret watching it. I do want to see this because marvel movies have been very good the last few years and it gives me hope. Its not going to be some artistic achievement but I think it'll be a fun watch.

Well... the Marvel movies since Iron Man 2 have been on a hot streak, so based on that alone this sequel might be worth keeping in mind.
Bear in mind though Marvel has no input in this movie (nor it's predecessor), it's being made by Columbia Pictures who are owned by Sony and have the rights to Ghost Rider (and Spiderman). So if it sucks it's not Marvel/Disney or the Avengers fault.

Show of hands, was ANYBODY unable to predict what Nick Cage was going to say after the chick said "I'm not afraid of you"? Anybody? Anyone at all.

I'm sorry, I'm not usually one to nitpick, but that line was so predictable I think my dog could have wrote it.

Here's hoping the rest of the writing isn't like that.

Nicolas Cage? I'd rather watch Police Acadamy 8, which is actually coming out soon.
Police Academy without Leslie will ever be the same.

The Crank movies are absolutely amazing and ridiculous, I can't wait for how crazy this will be. At least it'll be fun unlike the first movie.
He pees fire. I think it's going to get pretty crazy. And awesome.
