I need to get my roommate a present for his b-day, and I'm trying to find the most horrendous PC game I can find (he only plays PC.)I'm taking all suggestions, but I'd prefer a more recent one, i.e. last 6 years or so; one that'll be easily compatible with Windows 7. Thanks!

To make sure its annoying, I picked titles at least have the appearance of being fun. Otherwise one could pick a game like my little pony.
Fear 3 is pretty god awful. Nothing redeeming about it.
Mass effect 3. Some folks say everything but the ending is good.. but personally I thought it felt like a hollow shooter.
Dragon age 2. Cut and paste environments. If your friend played the first one.. the changes can be highly annoying.

The obvious answer to the title is Daikatana. But that is "ever", not "of the last six years or so".

Someone gifted this to me and it took 6 months of pestering to convince me to accept it. I'm now more grateful for competent puzzle games. It's not Big Rigs or E.T. bad. Big Rigs is a good choice, although it's kind of spot on in that it's notoriously awful, and it's awfulness is apparent straight from the onset, and it might be enjoyed in a "so awful it's hilarious" way.
Everyone knows my feelings on Ultima IX. You could try and trick him into thinking it was acclaimed, but that ruse wouldn't hold up long. Can't really be enjoyed even on an ironic level, so it might be a good candidate for punishing your friend.
It's kind of hard to find a more modern offering that gives that level of suck. Most of the worst offenders these days are aggressively mediocre and uninspired, rather than hilariously broken and offensively terrible.

Revelations 2012 is possibly the most terrible PC game to come out in recent months.
