...Beryl77 said:Wow this ARG is getting intense, members of the steamforums and facepunch forums, who have been very active in solving this ARG, have been abducted by GLaDOS. Something big is going to happen on friday and it's not an early release of Portal 2, it's something bigger.
I just got into playing TF2 honestly, but offline there's a sentry called Aperture Science Project. Excuse me if this isn't one of them, but I haven't came across anything like it yet.doggie015 said:That's been there since the bots were released back in '08Peryite17 said:I just opened TF2 and played an offline game and GLaDOS is one of the bots.
Did you find anything? the only games with portal 2 related stuff on this page are the ones I don't own or can't stand (killing floor is shit, sorry)mjc0961 said:Well, the only game I have from the sack is Super Meat Boy, and I'm not dropping $30+ on a bunch of games I'm not interested in, no matter how many Portal 2 themed goodies they add.
I will look for whatever they did in Super Meat Boy, though.
No it's not one of them, VALVe just likes to name the bots after other things from their games like "Boomer" or "Headcrab" or "companion cube"Peryite17 said:I just got into playing TF2 honestly, but offline there's a sentry called Aperture Science Project. The song wasn't made by Valve. It's a couple of years old, in fact.Scorched_Cascade said:Please proceed into Android hell
Awesome but it seems that Valve have thrown down the gauntlet to Escapist's own Miracle of Sound with that Audiosurf song.
Both CEO and Valve writer have said that it is, in their opinions, the "best singleplayer game Valve has ever made." Considering this is the company that turned PC gaming on its head twice now, that's pretty goddamn hefty expectations - marketing be damned.TerribleAssassin said:And they've done so well in marketing this game, I really hope it lives up to expectations.
Same, and now I don't know how to get back on that track... (Edit: Nvm, found it - it's on the radio tab under Test).Alphakirby said:LACK OF EFFORT MY ASS!!!!
(I got silver on the Audiosurf song,GLaDOS said that the devices couldn't measure such a lack of effort.)
Then again, this is Valve, a company which most likely doesn't have a score on Meta under 80. The only problem I have is that I'm on holiday on release date, which makes me a massively sad panda...Andy of Comix Inc said:Both CEO and Valve writer have said that it is, in their opinions, the "best singleplayer game Valve has ever made." I loved reading that thing; I've been following the ARG but it was still entertaining!Tom Goldman said:Kindly enough, Dejobaan Games was kind enough to post a full explanation of the ARG up to this point here [http://dejobaan.net/dl/helpme/], just so you can get caught up.
No. This is Valve we're talking about, this is what they do. I think a lot of people are missing the point of this though, Valve aren't advertising Portal 2. They don't need to. They're trying to get people to buy the other games to get all the Portal related goodies.Muco5681 said:while i can appreciate a little add now and then for a game valve has gone all MW/COD on us is anyone else having a sneaking suspicion that valve is just trying to hype the game to cover up its short comings...or am i just paranoid?
