Though at least you're making a fine example of yourselves: how I wished other SOPA supporting companies were as susceptible to such mass-protest as them, but alas...most of the supporters don't rely exclusively on the Internet for their business.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the interwebs, please take note. If you want to do a boycott against any major company, corporation, or big business, take this article as an example. They need to be hit in the only place that matters...their bottom line.

Is 72,354 domains enough? Not even close. It?s a drop in the bucket. The have anywhere from 15,000 to 40,000 domains added daily. Despite cries from the internet, yesterday was a good day with over 32,000 added. Go Daddy has not felt much pain yet. The ?PR nightmare? that many of us in the tech industry perceive is happening to them hasn?t hit their pocketbooks in any real form, yet.
Until the effect is more pronounced, they can afford to deflect questions and let the negative PR pass. More must be done."

So now they will piss off all the ppl who stayed and supported their support of SOPA. All the pissed off peeps moving domains aren't going to switch back just because they suddenly change their minds on a whim.
Now that Go Daddy has proven themselves to be idiots (for supporting something that would screw over a sizable segment of their own customers) and hypocrites (for suddenly changing their tune at the first sign of opposition) someone has to find a way for me to boycott something I'd never have used in the first place.

For those of you who don't know; this was mostly a Reddit born thing. It started with one man vowing to switch his ~1000 or so domains over to another registrar. The floodgates opened, and they should keep on pouring. GoDaddy needs to bleed to death, not just because they're a terrible company with terrible business practices, but as a message to other corporations who try to take our freedoms away from us.
The key to success here is focus. There are a lot of corporations that support SOPA and PIPA, but trying to go after all of them at once is foolish. This is the perfect start to something wonderful. I wonder who's next?
