When I look at all these people who still have the word "Teen" in their age complaining about being old. XD!! YOU KNOW NOTHING GOOD MA'AMS AND SIRS!

Jokes of course, but I realized I felt old when I was talking to my nephew, telling him I was creating a D&D character. He said "Oh cool!" The next day he asked if I was still making that character, and I said "No I'm drawing the map now." And he seemed excited over it, so I asked if he's ever played before.

He replied "What's D&D?" I nearly flipped a table...

When I realized how old Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon is. That game came out on the year of the dragon (hence the title) which is now THIS year.

That game went through an entire Chinese Zodiac Cycle this year! Where the hell did the time go?

I've been watching The Secret Circle on my TiVo. The main characters are high school students...and witches! dum Dum DUM!

Anyhow, in this one episode the female lead is doing some research on her now dead mom. The research involved going through her dead mom's high school yearbook. Her dead mom? From the class of 1995. Me? The class of 1990. I did some quick math...I could have kids who were 21 years old!

I'm 39. I teach college. This means I'm old enough to be the father of all my undergrads.

Man. This makes me feel really old.

I was on skype the other day and ended up thinking to myself- when I was a kid, the video phone was considered science fiction. Then I felt old.

Also, any time I'm around my 7 year old sister and she's doing something that I did when I was her age.

I'm 19 btw.

Found out my 10-year old niece has a cell phone.

When I was ten, no one in my family had wireless phones, let alone cell phones.

The worst case was when I was playing around on the beach with a friend a few years ago. Think I was 19 then, am 22 now. Anyways; when we were gonna drag ourselves up on the... pier-bridge(no English word for it >.<) we both got about halfway up and then fell back into the water. No matter how hard we tried we just couldn't pull ourselves up.
Along came some kids who got up like it was nothing.

I'm turning 23 in 3 days.

Someone I graduated with is teaching at our old high school.

A girl I had a crush on in high school is engaged, and it isn't one of those "well, that'll never last, they're too young" things.

One of my best friends got into my high school after I graduated, and graduated last year. When I was showing Chrono Trigger to her boyfriend (another one of my best friends), she accused it of "looking like the old Pokemon games". She was trolling, but it still made me think "this is how some of them think..."

Last, but not least, I basically have arthritis in my neck.

FUCK I'M OLD.

I nearly dislocated my shoulder reaching for a shoe underneath my bed... I'm 18 and it made me feel like I was 40.

Having to explain to my younger cousin what a "cartridge" was while playing video games.

I was only 23 at the time.

Every time I think anything starting with "Kids these days" I'm sixteen, that doesn't even begin to make sense.
Also 16. Exactly the same as you. I know i shouldn't have those feelings, im still young, but i hate most kids younger than me. They seem ignorant and full of s**t.

Pardon the language :3

I had a pretty depressing one a few months ago when I turned 18. In a matter of minutes, I was hit with the realizations that...

The cartoons I grew up with are now considered old.
The only "cool" cartoon I know of is Adventure Time.
In four years, I will graduate from college and enter the "real world."
When I was younger, I thought college students were really old.
I find that many girls in elementary and middle school dress as if they intend to be pregnant as soon as possible.
I can no longer date a minor.
I am nearing the peak of my biological potential (best chance for strong offspring, if my phrasing was confusing).
I need to seriously start taking care of myself because the freebie puberty energy is pretty much gone.
I will spend the prime of my life sitting in an office.
I will one day be as old as my grandmother and hardly have the energy to cook.
My grandma will die any year now.
I have older parents (my dad is in his early 60s and my mom her mid 50s), so there is a good chance that they'll be dead before I achieve the greatest thing I can in my career.
Some day, everyone I love will be dead.
There is a good chance that I will have to suffer through the deaths of many people I love.
I will someday be married, leading to one of two possibilities:
A)My spouse will die, leaving me alone and miserable.
B)I will die, leaving my spouse alone and miserable.
I will never know how people feel about me after my death.
I will have lived my life only to rot away after leaving a very minimal impact on the world, which is itself totally insignificant with respect to everything.
I have a stronger lens prescription than either of my parents.

Needless to say I spent the night of my 18th birthday in my Canadian grandmother's basement where my grandfather had left a stocked open-bar.
