Let's say that there's some game coming out soon, and you're interested in it. Why? Who knows? Maybe it's a sequel to something you liked or maybe you read something about it that caught your attention, but that's beside the point.
So, one day, you hear that there's some gameplay on Youtube. Now, you have a choice: You can eagerly go watch the video and see if it looks as good as you hope it will, or you can not. Why? Well, I don't know about you, but personally, seeing footage of a game before I play it myself somewhat spoils the experience. I'd rather go into it knowing about as little as possible and have it feel like a totally new experience (as amazing they are, I still wish I hadn't watched the Red Dead Redemption gameplay trailers.)
