Good 'GTA' clone games

'Just cause' had some good moments... but I wouldn't call it a 'good game', so that doesn't realy make it a 'good clone', does it?

I will also throw my hat in with Scareface, mercernaires( oh man the sqeul should be awsome) and crackdown. you cant go wrong with any of those games although scareface is super super hard at the end. I really liked scareface alot i played along time. its almost as good as the movie.

I kind of have a thing about developers not over saturizing a market and trying to shoot for originallity, so my opinion is that there can be no "good" (not to be mistaken for "fun") clone.

i love godfather, but not for the storyline (which was retarded) or the large sandbox style to it. all of the aspects that were GTA-esque were poor copies. its saving grace was the blackhand intimadating/beating the crap out of shop keepers on a 40inch plasma is fun to the nth degree.

also mercenaries was freakin' amazing. i hope the next one gets ported to '360 cos that would take away the single reason i can think of for spending stupid moneys on a ps3.
