Ninjad. That game kicks WAY too much a$$.
Let me tell you a story about a little boy who was happily playing FF all his life and always thought that the turn based combat in it was the best thing since sliced bread. Than Grandia came along... And the boy was marveled by the new take on turn based combat it brought with it. In fact he was so awestruck that he shed a single tear as he sold his PS1 to purchase Dreamcast and play Grandia 2 (in hind sight that was a BIG mistake, should've waited a few years and kept both).
For the rest of his life the boy would cringe every time he had to play any other RPG with a turn based combat. And sigh, remembering the glorious epitome of Grandia that went beyond "Attack, Guard, Magic" formula.
On Grandia 2: I completely recommend it, in fact I demand that you get it. At first I despised it for getting rid of the Weapon/Magic experience I came to love in G1 (-). But when I thought about it more, it did diminish the grind substantially (+). And they had more quirky characters (Demon, Lion-man, Android... did I mention a f**in' DEMON of pure awesome?)(+). And the "mandatory kid character" stayed silent for the most of the game (+) (Oh Sue of G1... I wanted to crucify her. Oh how happy I was when she was booted from the party... But they just insisted on bringing the b*tch back...) .

OH SHIT! I forgot about that.
I second this game.
Thanks for reminding me...I wonder if its Windows 7 capable...
I wonder the same. If it is not, there is always the... Dreamcast emulators... Seriously, why are they so horrible compared to the PSX emulators?
