Yeah... I would have the makings of a future historic dramedy movie about my life and times...
Could not have said it better, myself... Than again, over time, I would slowly move away to become just the main overseer of said expensive-looking apartment complexes for people with little to no income and go from having a part-time editor and publication staff for my writing to basically making it go full-time until I can't write no more, but for the most part, myself was basically right on the spot for the most part...

Other than that, strive to keep the friends and family that I grew up with in a more stable condition, especially my mom and grandma who have done so much for me since the day I was born... I mean, how can I help others if I can't help the ones I love and care for beforehand?

Hmm... I'd probably take some of the money, and invest in my grandfathers restaurant, which is his retiring business. Make sure he's got the money he needs to keep it going, possibly make a return personally on it, and when his days are finally through the business will still be with the family. Would probably send some money to my father as well, but he's a proud man and wouldn't take too much unless he needed it. Trick would be to keep my uncle off the money.

I'd take a small chunk and put it aside for my current schooling expenses. Canadian here so my student loans are pretty mellow in comparison to other things. Wouldn't move outta my current rental property until I'm done school, as it does me fine. When that's through, I'd buy myself a piece of land outside the city, and a good sized apartment or small house in the city proper. On the property, I'd build a large workshop to allow me to work on anything that strikes my fancy.

I don't think I'd donate much, if anything. If I felt charitable I'd establish my own damn foundation so that I actually know where the ruttin' money is going. Friends can go fuck themselves if they ask for money. I'll buy them shit all day so long as I feel like it, but if they come to me asking for handouts, they haven't earned them.

To be completely honest here, I'd barely end up using most of that money. Hire some accountant/investing firm to make sure the remaining ninety million gets bigger. Work if it amuses me, and if not, quit a job and go do whatever I want to do with the workshop and my computer.

The dream: Buy my own private island.
The reality: Build up a property portfolio, maybe get a nice apartment. Start up a charity, maybe, or at least give a lot to charity.

Just reading a few of these, I think I'm one of the only materialistic people here. But, whatever I guess.

First thing's first. Debt. Good bye student loans.

Next is paying off parent's houses. Both my mom and my mother in law. Then we're gonna fix up both of them to be super nice and probably give them a stipend so they don't have to work ever again.

Then I'd buy a house for me, my wife and my daughter up north, out of this god forsaken allergy ridden south. I need to live in a place that has a little spring and summer as possible.

Then I'd give a ton of money to my best friend. We've been friends for over 20 years. I'd let my wife give her friends stuff too.

Now the fun stuff! First, a Dodge Viper. Been wanting one ever since the Gran Turismo series launched. Then, I'd buy a really expensive cruise and we'd take our best friends and just chill. And If I could convince his wife, I'd buy him a house close to where I would end up living. Right now he's two states away.

Finally, investments. I'd make sure my daughter never had to work at a grocery store like her father did.

If I won that much I would...

1. Give my parents 10m each, my brothers 5m each and my grandparents/first-cousins 1m each. That adds up to about 40m

2. Put 50m in the bank to earn 6% interest per annum (lol...that's like 3m per year)

3. Get a mansion and sweet car with the other 10m or so. Do whatever the fuck I want. Learn new instruments, read new books, study new things etc.

In that case, I must break you!

(but not really, because you seem a decent sort).
First time in a long while since someone's called me 'decent' ... hmmm, maybe I'm not a bastard-coated bastard with a bastard filling :/

Do a lot actually. First the expect handing out of some wealth to immediate relatives, hire a financial advisor so that I can invest, donate, and save effectively. I would then travel about and meet some new cultures, get cultured, and break some of the walls of my comfort zones. Lastly I would then build myself an all year motorcycle and see if there is a market for them before turning to media production, start up a small animation studio and see what happens from there.

Lastly I would build the most redonculous computer I possibly could for the lolz.

Four Opteron 16 cores for simulations
512GB of Ram
48TB of Storage
Quadro K6000
Three Titan Z for CUDA tasks

Plus a small renderfarm of course.

I suppose I'd probably pay off my parents and brother's mortgages. After that, as a fellow Escapist once said, "Cocaine, whores, repeat until death."

Yawn. 99m in a 5 year 4.75% interest per annum holding account, 1m in spending. Buy a house. Live off interest comfortably. In the 5 years, change degrees to economics and learn about investing. Invest money better once 5 years are up.

100 mil?

Give 10 to my parents, 1 to my grandparents, some other amounts to other relatives, some to friends.

I'd probably also pass some along to an indie game studio (Nine Dots) that I really like, but are struggling a bit right now.

Then, look up some decent charities and send them regular donations.

Finally, get myself a nice small condo apartment and spend time working on my own little RPGmaker projects, maybe get into livestreaming, start learning more advanced game engines on my own, and eventually try to get my own "professional" game launched (maybe that RPG my friends and I were super serious about making all those years ago, but put on hold due to real life being a dick).

I would NOT start spending like a sailor, even though it's 100 mil. I don't need too much to be happy.

Honestly, even 5 mil would be enough to set me up for life. I'd find some part time work and just work on my own projects on my downtime, then retire early.

100 million... Right away, I would put away about $90M of that so it's not making my wallet go up in flames. Like, I would go up to my bank, and say "How can I get this as far away from me as possible? Do that."

Next, take my car, which I love very very very very very much, more than most people, and have it taken apart, repair and replace everything even remotely worn or damaged, put it back together, then proceed to have metaphorical sex with it by driving like a maniac.

Next, brand new crazy-awesome crazy-powerful gaming rig from Puget Systems. All evidence points to them being the absolute best place to go to get legendary build quality. I might even have them put everything in one of them super fancy mineral oil tank-cases. Because reasons.

Next, move. I live in Wisconsin, and while it's a really nice place to grow up and yada yada, I have to get the *&^% outta here. California, maybe. With a pool. A big house and I can bring in a few like-minded friends and we'll have a grand ol' time not giving a care about life's little annoyances.

Next, live comfortably, but not so grandly that the remaining some millions dries up inside of a year so I have to dip into my impossible-to-liquidate savings. I already spent a few thousand on Steam games, I think I'm set for the next decade.

Next... I'unno. Start using my cash to better the world how I see fit. Fund the right people and organizations, make a few dreams come wildly true on Kickstarter, that sorta thing.

And after all that... NOT A CLUE!!

First I'd pay off all my parents bills & make sure my sister has a nice place to live, then I'd have that bunker/house I've always wanted built inside a mountain. Oh & open my own bar so I no longer have to work for someone else.

Get it converted to pennies and swim around in it scrooge mcduck style.
that would net you 10 billion pennies, Id advise getting a lifeguard then aswell if I were you haha. Seeing as there are roughly 59,993,461,200 drops of water in an olympic sized swimming pool (atleast thats what google is telling me..) you could probably 'easily' fill them in there. I spent way too much time looking into that...I shall go now.

This is actually just a completely hypothetical question, out of interest :)
Aww, :(

Anyways, I would probably split it into some safe investments, like a boring person. Hell, I'd be able to live a life of luxury for the rest of my life out of the investments alone, even when factoring inflation.
