I would honestly have to say Mario Galaxy, it was fun and all, but seriously easy and short.
It took me a couple months to beat it, but I'm probably slower then anyone else in here. I'm 3 hours into Tales of Vesperia after a week.

Maybe if you played the other games, or realized that there really isn't that great of a plot, or realized the third was a bunch of random story elements thrown together because Bungie wanted to get everything in even if it didn't make sense.
you are most likely right but my friend who told all about how awesome halo is he seems to be taking it back about halo 2

halo 3 and metroid prime 3. first off i hate the halo series because it seems to complicated and i only played it because the guy who owned it was bored to death although i loves the vehicle section that was awesome. and metroid prime 3 because i beat it in 13hrs!!! the second was a filler and it was very hard and i can't explain the first cause i got to the phazon mines then my friend wanted the game back.
Halo is too complicated for you? There's nothing complex about it...it's "Point, Shoot, Kill."
i know i meant the story i get the run shoot throw grenade then hijack enemy car and picks up your friend at other base
The story is incredibly simple actually. If you play them in order (CE, then 2, then 3 as should be obvious) you'll understand it quite quickly. The story could be summarized in a paragraph or two actually.
yah it kinda goes like this for me 7 or seven rings of death if one goes of so must the others evil aliens, good aliens and head crabs

One that sticks in my head is Gun. It wasn't a bad western shooter and had a great story but it ended too quickly. Not quite the scope of GTA.

I disagree that Portal was too short. It was just the right length. Any longer and it would have been annoying.

Bioshock actually went on a lot longer then I thought it was going to.

I kept coming to what I assumed was the end, and the game would keep continuing, until finally I'm attacked by a blue silver surfer with a drug problem then bam, game's done.

criminally short games... hrmmm... Fable 1 comes to mind.

I would say Far Cry. The game itself actually takes a long time to beat, and to be honest not many people reached the end. But at a certain point you could tell when the dev team was stretching things with indoor environments and cookiecutter, untested levels. I just wish the experience of the first few levels, moving stealthily, approaching situations how you want, and primarily fighting human enemies, had lasted a bit longer.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

I was extremely sad when I finished the game, so I cheered myself up by playing it three more times in a row. That should say how good and short the game is, right ? =P
You thought Uncharted was too short? I't took me quite a while to beat it, although, when I played it again on the other difficulties it didn't take nearly as long, so I guess you're right, sorta. And I agree, it is a pretty awesome game, I'm currently trying to beat crushing dificulty.

Super Metroid. If you are really dayum good you can beat it in less than three hours. In fact it rewards you for doing so.

Whenever I try I clock in at about 4 hours and three minutes average (Damn Miridia)

Did anyone play dark sector? It was definetley a let down, considering how long it's been in prodeuction, and it's a lot more mindless than I expected, but it's still really fun. It's also really short though, like ten hours at the very most. I went around a corner and suddenly I was on the final boss fight, and it took me a couple of seconds to realize it, because it was really sudden.

Also, every game in the MGS series. Those games are just so awesome, it's almost dissapointing to see the end.

I'd have to say Halo three and call of duty 4 simply because in CoD4 it seems like it's missing the last half hour or so of the game.

*resists urge to post basic definitions of 'to' and 'too'*

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker - that game was so close to being my favorite of the series, but 5 dungeons and 2 half-dungeons does not a Zelda game make.

I'd say COD4 and HL2:Ep2, simply because I felt they still had quite a bit they could have thrown in, and, while they were great, it would have been nice having more to them.
