I was a fairly prominent member for the last half of 2009, including a review series I started, and I came back because I realized this was the only place that I belonged. 4chan is filled with strange, degenerate, sociopaths, and Gaia is filled with hipsters and scenies.

Well the Escapist gets more like 4chan daily. People post memes all over the place, and you even see the odd avatar blatantly rubbing 4chan memes in your face!

This all happened after March 2010 if you ask me.

And I almost forgot about the whole Zynga fiasco. Thanks for reminding me...

I'm from the school of thought that believes status is based on behavior rather than time. I was only on /b/ for about half a year, but I'd spent massive amounts of time on ED beforhand, so I was pretty much bred for oldfaggotry.

Not sure what I should expect for a reaction to this thread, but I would like to say that after about a year away, I'm officialy returning to the Escapist.

I have been to the 4chan, and it was strange. A place with little morality or values, but fascinating nontheless. Sadly, due to an influx of degenerate scene people, who for the sake of cleanliness I will refer to as "newfriends", most of the charm melted away, and I became nostalgic for the days of the Escapist.

I realized that the Escapist was the place for me. No nerds, goths, or scene people. No sociopaths, freaks, or savages. Just a group of intelligent, humorous people with friendly attitudes.

It's been awhile since I've poked my brightly-colored avatar around here. I'm not sure if I'll be recognized, but it feels good to be back all the same.

That's all I have to say.

I have no idea who you are and don't really care, but allways nice whith some new old peapole

I know 4chan is a horrible place even if I would fit perfectly but I'm civilised and well-mannerd and try to keep it like that even if I I got several screws loose^^

I follow the same pattern right now, first looking at ED and laughing at things I shouldn't laugh at and of course being shocked.
I have to say I still visit 4chan, but only /wg/ and /hr/ for wallpapers and all that kind of crap

Why? He had a point about the guy not being well known, and the second part was only a joke. People need to learn to stop taking this place so seriously. As is, the only person that comes off as a dick is you.

I pray this doesn't come of as flaming/arguing, and I intend for this to be my last post to avoid flaming/arguing.

Okay, tell me, why do they only apply to raids? Where does it say that they only apply to raids? In my opinion, the "They apply only to raids" was invented by summerfriends who wanted to show their friends all the funny, cute pictures they found, so they could bastardize /b/ even further and turn it into fucking Facebook.

They apply to raids because we don't want to ruin the mystery and the fear that comes from a good hard raiding to turn around and say "/b/ did this". We want to remain Anonymous, like we always have.

Yes, and hence the "Ebaums did this" when most of the raids happen, but those mostly get ruined by a moralfriend.

But you haven't answered my question. Why do they apply to raids only? What's so different in the period between raids?
