It seems like a lot of people are waiting on it. I remember talking to people on some recent MMOs (WoW and DCUO) about how once GW2 comes out they will switch over.

At first, I was kinda meh to this game, but after reading all that stuff about it, it probably seems like the kind of MMO I always wanted.

Honestly, this game looks so awesome it has gotten me over my BioWare bias and if I had a choice, I'd definitely pick this game over ToR any day.

Might not have to either, with no subscription and whatnot?

Kind of related to this, but is Guild Wars still worth buying? Just wondering.
The Eye of the North Expansion (you need at least one other version I think) can give you unlocks and they are on sale via Steam it seems almost every month. There are still a good number of players so if you can get it cheap, go for it.

On side note, the whole Dynamic Event (GW2) vs Phasing (WoW) is a misunderstanding. In WoW the game world changes depending if you've completed a quest solely on your own machine and you connect with others that have completed said quest. If a player in GW2 fails to defend a bridge, Everyone in the game world has to deal with a destroyed bridge, from lvl 1's to lvl 80 players.

I'm looking forward to it and the fact that they're stepping up reveals and information withing the past few weeks has me hoping that they'll give details on the open beta soon.
