I'd would say that's the only thing they have. Sure, Japan sucks at making FPSes but they should stick to what they can do. Ignoring the obvious JRPGs since everyone apparently hates them now except me, they should work on what the U.S can't do, such as adventure or unique games. I enjoyed games like Okami, Ghost Trick, Elite Beat Agents, and Katamari. America doesn't have any games like that. Or even things like tactics or fast paced hack'n'slash since they have the best games in those genres as well. They shouldn't try to carter to our audience, they should make a good game and let the audience come to them.

See, this is the mentality that we want here people.

Japanese games should be more and more Japanese and in that way they will be good, westernization is the way of fail and DMC.

I'm so happy that there's at least one last bastion of common sense left in Japan. (btw, anyone up for some blazblue sometime? :D)
No kidding, it doesn't help that way too many Western gamers seem to be demanding that Japan be ashamed of who they are. No one but Japan could make games like Blazblue (psyched for CS EX), Catherine, Dark Souls, Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Persona, Suikoden, Vagrant Story, and countless others. If I had to choose a side to stick with, it'd be Japan every time. Heck, I consider Blazblue's story to be the best I've experienced this console generation.

Leave anime alone you run into a bunch of cliches in american broadcasting too.
But that is not to say there are some pretty good unique american cartoon shows just as their are some pretty shitty anime as well. But do people have the right to their opinion, just do not use a cliche to try to talk about a cliche that is not true.
I EXAGGERATED. And the simple fact is I've come across a lot of Anime inspired games that seriously are not that far off from what I said. I wouldn't have said such a thing unless the point continuies to be used over and over again.

I'll admit, I seriously hate Anime. But I hate it for well defined reasons that Anime continuies to prove me right time and time again. Shut-in loner who's into geek culture yet somehow every girl loves him? All Teenaged girls having breasts that'd make Pamela Anderson jealous? Horrifyingly gorey deaths that work more on the shock then the actual trauma? The entire story revolves almost always with teenagers? Panty-shots and boob jiggling at eveyr opportunity?

THIS is the great genre of animation you wish to defend?

Call me closed minded or whatever, but I seriously have no faith in a genre of animation that relies more on appealing to the masses then actually having substance.
