Gundam Creator Thinks "Games Are Evil"

Sadly, I think he's too old to see video games as Art, and he can only view them as overpriced toys ala the NES-era. Maybe if Shigeru Miyamoto invited him to a round or Wii Sports Resort, or Hideo Kojima gave him a copy of MGS4 he'd understand.

I hate to say it but I think one needs to look at where the guy is coming from when judging what he says.

In Japan there are lots of otaku, a whole open sub culture that devote their entire lives to games and anime and don't have social lives and are proud of it. Those individuals are drains on society, Western gamers might not be but from where he's standing this seems a fairly valid point of view.

Dynasty Warriors Gundam was pretty good...second one really screwed up though.

Anyway if Bandai-Namco wasn't so mind-numbingly difficult to comprehend I just wish they'd port over "Mobile Ops: One Year War" stateside. It's Battlefield with Gundams, how can this go wrong?

Gihren's Ambition games and SD Gundam G Generation games are both wonderful series. I mean the first is fucking hard (WHY DO YOU HAVE ZAKU'S WHEN I HAVE TANKS?!) but they work.

Also Zeonic Front is a decent game, and 0081 is like Crossfire, except not broken.

Operation Troy was a decent game too, however we don't GET good Gundam Games, Japan gets good gundam games, we get the scraps.

That's more the point I was making. I don't want to have to mod a console to play a good Gundam game. I'm sure someone can point out ones that were released in a region I can play in but they're probably hard to find except on the internet where i'll pay $100 for a PS1 disc.
